Grew up coming here regularly, so it’s very disappointing that the owner seems to be very cold towards me and my husband when we shop there. I let the coldness go since they have a great variety & lots of things you can’t find at your regular markets so that’s awesome, but it also allows him to over charge since it’s one of the only places you can get certain things.Yesterday was my last straw after my 15 items rang up to $94 and some change, but my bank statement was pending $98 and some change. That’s theft.Just really sad and honestly disgusted.

My mother has been going there for almost 30 years. She remembers when he had one part of that shop and had a few shelves. Recently, my mother asked him a question about something he had in stock. His response was very loud and rude. My mother is an elderly woman. We will not be returning!

If you need International food items, this is your place! They have different ingredients that you would use for several foreign dishes. The staff are decent and are willing to help. Parking is street parking and you could also park in a side lot if needed as well. The post office is across the street and there are two food places you can stop at if you turn up hungry. All in all this is a great stop if you need some international food items.

They have lots of various natural foods from other countries. They have what I was looking for yams, not sweet potatoes as most people think they are the same but aren't, but we're sold out.

This little store has it all. A lot of the food sold here is new to me, but it's organized in an easy-to-find, logical manner. I never leave empty handed.

Wow! I've lived in HdG for almost 6 years and had no idea this store was in my backyard. I am so happy to have an international food store so close, no need to drive to Philly or Elliott City to buy the food you can't find in the local food store. You can buy frozen whole fish, goat, ice cream, dumplings and cassava roots. Refrigerated tofu, a variety of Mexican cheeses and cremas, premade desserts, etc. They also carry a variety of rice - up to 30lb bags! Vermicelli rice noodles, boxed fufu, canned meats and fish, so many snacks! The labels are from all over the world: Korea, Mexico, Ghana, Thailand, Vietnam, Puerto Rico and many more! I was overwhelmed with all the choices and am excited to make this a regular spot to shop. Now to start meal planning.
