I wish they left Safeway there. Flowers in Co-op store are way overpriced. As the other products.
Also, worst place to get anything lactose free or gluten free.

I just need to get this experience out of my chest, it's torturing my mental health for too long.
In 2021winter, it was a very cold evening, and my bus was due in 20 min; I was shopping at the mall with some paid products with receipts in my bag. Co-op was near the bus stop, so I decided to go to Co-op Dakota to stay and walk around for a bit and wait until my bus came; I walked for 20 min, but I didn't want to buy anything. When I walked out out the checkout, one male employee stoped me and asked to check my bag, I was stunned for a few seconds, but I still let him check my bag anyway because I'm a legit person and I am not afraid, and I heard that there were lot of stealing going on , so that's why the male employee did it. However, this experience left a tremendous scar on my mental health and self-image because I've never thought someone would think I would steal , and the look from the male employee and not only him, he made other customers looked at me. Imagining if people in my situation at that moment, when everyone was looking at you like they are about to find a thief.
My bad didn't contain any items that the male employee suspected, and he let me go. Im also skeptical if the employee was allowed to check any individuals bag.

Coca-Cola (pack of 20) was advertised as 2/15$ with the wrong sign. I went to self-checkouty total was ~30$. When I asked about this they were quite rude and adamantly stated that there was no way the coke was that price. They had my boyfriend go take this picture for proof and she voided the coke and wouldn't honour the price. They screwed up the label, and any other store would've adjusted the price for the mixup - Shoppers Drug Mart has done that for example.

Great selection of local and imported products. Very helpful staff. Good SCO terminals.
Update Sept 2024
The pharmacy has an app where I can easily pre order my prescription, and the co-op member shop gets me a huge discount on it too!
Shopping at the co-op is the best!

Nice store but prices are among the highest in the city. Sometimes there are good sales. Coop rebate on grocery purchases pretty low.

I walked it to get something quick. It is never busy here. I am a Coop member and went next door to Wmart to save 20% for the same 2 items.

I would give this place -5 stars if I could. went to buy macornei cups 3 spicy buffalos and 3 triple cheeses (wanted 4 of each but I barely found 3 cause most of them expired in March & I went in the middle of July). when I went to self-checkout the triple cheese was $1.49ea (the posted price) but the buffalo ones were $2.19. I asked the cashier why these were more expensive, she said that only the cheese cups are on sale. However, I asked her to get me a flyer to show her that it's all the variates however she continued to say that it's only the cheese that are on sale. I asked to speak to the manager of the store, but she said that he's busy without even radioing him to come. In the end, I didn't buy any of them & she threated to call the cops because I was (according to her) being abusive, even though i just wanted her to change the price of the macaroni. Never coming back to any co-op
