This gym is soBig. But they can’t even clean the change rooms. MostDisgusting change rooms. Trash, dirt and junk everywhere and the lockers are filthy inside. Disgusting! I will go back to shapes once myMembership is done!

Today I had the displeasure of working with the team at goodlife fitness at the newmarket blvd location.For context, I was invited to use a free guest day pass given to me at the Mcphillips location to use to bring a friend but it was not mentioned that it had to be this specific location. When my guest tried to use the pass at the newmarket location we were told that this offer didn't exist. We asked that the team call the number on the card which was the number at the mcphillips goodlife so they could communicate amongst each other. However, this idea was not entertained and we were asked to pay the $25 drop in or leave.We wish the newmarket team would have used the contact information on the card, but they were not willing to.After trying to resolve the complication amongst ourselves , they decided to honor the pass if we met with a trainer and listen to memberships. When the trainer realized my guest had paid for drop ins at this location before months ago, we were no longer entitled to the free day pass (which was not mentioned on the day pass, even in the fine print)We took it upon ourselves to contact the mcphillips location who agreed that the voucher should be honored since the voucher did not provide an exclusion for us. The team at the newmarket location were visibly displeased and let us know that a new reason we were not allowed to use the pass is because we have used a guest pass 8 months ago from my membership that is independent of this offer. The team at the Mcphillips location mentioned this was not properly documented at the newmarket location by their staff and thus, we were entitled to use the day pass. Ultimately we were allowed 1 free workout, but the experience was tainted by glares and mutters amongst the staff as they were redeeming the voucher.We understand their frustration and hope our feelings can be heard out. Understanding that we took time and gas to make the trip to this location. The situation took 40 minutes to resolve and we only wish that it could have been communicated internally before attempting to dismiss us. I asked many times if it was a misunderstanding on our end because we understand if it is our mistake, but the Mcphillips location assured us that it was not. We really appreciate the transparency and communication that was provided by the team at Mcphillips and thank them for their help.(After reading reviews, it appears a similar situation also occurred 3 months ago)

I have never left a review before, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this GoodLife fitness branchI've been a member for over a year and this is my primary location, although I took a break between September and January due to being out of town. Upon returning, I noticed a significant change in the staff's attitude. It seems like they've adopted condescension as a new hiring requirement.During my recent visits, I encountered new staff members who were extremely condescending. When I asked a simple question, one staff member suggested I go to Planet Fitness if I didn't like the gym's policies. On another occasion, I witnessed a staff member speaking rudely to a lady who was struggling to use the self-entry key scan.Despite loving the amenities at GoodLife Fitness, I now avoid interactions with staff to prevent encountering more disrespectful behavior. It's disheartening to feel this way about a gym I once enjoyed.I hope this feedback prompts management to address the unprofessional behavior among staff members and ensure a more positive experience for all members.

they have one of the best boxing classes i’ve ever taken! a super nice room just dedicated for it. their weight room is massive, and has a lot of equipment compared to altea and shapes, it was pretty impressive

The staff are always friendly, the facility is always clean and organized. My only complaint is the mens change room needs to be cleaned more frequently especially the showers.

One of the best gym in Winnipeg.Few things needs to improve, steam shower breaks very often and take months to fix it. Lockers and men change room needs to be cleaned more often. But still 5 stars.

The gym boasts a large and diverse membership, which is fantastic, but it's evident that there's a need for additional lockers to meet the demand.It would be wonderful to see the steam room back in action soon, as it's a beloved amenity among many members.While the gym is good overall, there's definitely room for improvement. Addressing the locker shortage would enhance the overall experience for members by providing them with more convenience and ease when storing their belongings. Additionally, maintaining amenities like the steam room contributes to the overall appeal of the gym and helps ensure member satisfaction.In conclusion, the gym has a solid foundation, but there are opportunities for further development to enhance the overall member experience.

My first experience here was excellent. Young and super helpful reception, tons of amenities and a very clean and sanitized environment. Lots of extras many places don’t have: hydromassage chairs, meditation room, lap pool…. Very impressed. Went here for a spin class and left happy!

Got a phone call from a lady named Katrina during my work and she just hang up the phone all after some extremely impatient hello questions. I think she was about to talk about the 3 times passes I booked online. I just asked “ sorry, from where and who is this?”, but maybe because of the working time, I cannot hear her clearly and she just hang up the phone rudely! Such a ridiculous scenario! Have ever someone even taught you to be more patient and respectful to your work? Or because it’s a big gym and you don’t really need anymore clients? Will never visit this gym for sure and won’t recommend any of my friends to be there. I called her and asked why she hang up my phone call rudely. Instead of saying sorry, she found the excuse because of the bad connecting. Can’t believe!

Asked to put my account on freeze and it was not done properly by employee, so now I need to pay $500 for someone else's mistake, manager Brad refuses to provide any type of apology and fixing their mistake, would never recommend this place to anyone.
