This company does not stand by their product, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!We had a sump pump that was improperly installed in our new Gino’s home and over months is flooded our crawl space with about 28000 gallons of water! Yes that is an incredibly amount of water and we never heard a thing, but our AC was struggling to cool our house. We were still on warranty so the contractor came out multiple times to try and rectify the issue, it is still on going, but now that we know water was in our crawl place it was probably the excess humidity that affected the AC. Once the cold weather came we noticed moisture on all our windows. Once again contacted the contractor but no one ever said go check that crawl space! I just decided one day to have a look…imagine my surprise to see 2 feet of standing water under the hatch. And it was over 5 feet deep at the the sump pump. We pumped water out at 3000 gallons an hour for two days!!!Gino’s sent plumbers to repair the fittings that failed on the sump pump at their expense!BUT would not cover any of our expenses to dry out or pump out the water? We did all the work ourselves and only asked to be reimbursed for our out of pocket expenses. We had to rent industrial dehumidifiers and fans to dry out the gravel in the crawl space. It took over a week of moving this equipment around in the crawl space. This was a tough job for a senior citizen like myself. We only asked for a reimbursement for the equipment nothing at all for the time and work involved. We thought we were being very fair…this flood was no fault of ours!Well Gino’s denied the claim and told us they would not cover our expenses!!!!“The homeowner is responsible to maintain their home” was the reason.Wow it’s is just over $500 dollars total we asked for so it’s not really the money but it is the principal. They admitted fault by paying for the plumbers but absolutely refused to cover our out of pocket expenses? After numerous emails they just refuse to even have a personal or phone conversation with us!This is not after sales service.I do not recommend anyone buying from a company that just won’t stand by their product!

We just had the pleasure of completing a new home project in Sage Creek with Gino's and so far they have lived up to their fame. Of course there has been a couple of hiccups but the quick, effective, and professional way they have responded to each one of them is commendable. Communication with all the people involved is top notch and if you are clear enough they will reciprocate with the same clear language and an agreement will always be reached. I do recommend them if you will embark in this adventure.Service: Home building

Our (very unpleasant) experience of building with Gino's.In 2021 we bought a bungalow same as their model home and a lot from this builder. Only for me to REALIZE BY MYSELF a few days after the transaction that the bungalow we had bought from Gino's did not respect the construction limits of the lot, said lot not being wide enough to build it.When it's your client who has to tell you that the house you bought does not fit on the boundaries of the lot wow you know that you’ve hired a very professional builder!!!It was around that time our nightmare with Gino's began. What was supposed to be building our dream home turned into an absolute ordeal. From the start to the end of the building process there were only problems and I constantly had to fight to have our rights respected as the quality of construction was mediocre.Fortunately for us but unfortunately for the builder I have more than 10 years of experience in the construction field having among other things completely built 4 houses for myself (all COMPLETELY finished within 3 months) this represents 10,000 working hours just for these houses. With that kind of experience not only did I know what I was talking about but also I was able and more than competent to identify all the construction quality problems and they were very numerous. The list of problems and deficiencies being much too long to expose everything here, I will therefore only present a few of them. And for pretty much all of them I had to involve the New Home Warranty Program of Manitoba Inc.It is often said that a photo is worth a thousand words and the photos included with this testimonial will speak for themselves.Photo with the level showing that the slope of the garage floor was inclined not towards the exterior of the house but rather towards the interior. After a bitter battle with Gino's they had to completely demolish the concrete slab and start from scratch.Photo of the steel siding on the cantilever facing the street showing large dings and dents everywhere response from the builder? It's the oil can syndrome problem. Well after another battle with the builder and it only took them six months to fix it.Photos of the thresholds (door sills) one for the garage to house door the other one front entry. This is what happens when you don't protect surfaces during construction and yes the house was delivered to us as is. Yet another hard fought battle with Gino’s this time it only took them 9 months to fix.Photo of the weather stripping rubber of the garage door for about 6 feet you can see the space and daylight excellent for rain or snow to enter the garage which is completely finished and heated. Once again I had to fight with the builder it was like I was ripping out his heart by asking him to pay to have his own mistake repaired. So much so that he even asked me to pay half of it but I refused. This time only a couple of months to fix it.In total, I noted a total of 32 deficiencies, not so bad for a contractor who calls himself a professional. For me and I have already told them very often, it's just a bunch of amateurs who think that they have no need to supervise their subcontractors and that their houses build themselves.Oh yes, I forgot it took 9 months to build our substantially finished house and another year to complete all the remaining work and repair all the deficiencies. During this time their model houses and their spec houses were built very quickly and all finished before ours and this COMPLETELY. But if you dare to ask them why, well invariably the answer is it's a different house, we can't discuss that.No need to say that we will NEVER build another house with them I would rather buy a shed and live in it than doing business with them again.LASTLY I submit this review in accordance with the Constitution Act of 1982 paragraph 2B2 Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:(b) Freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Gino’s Homes, and it's disheartening to see how they handle customer feedback. Initially, I had high hopes for this builder, but it all went downhill.First and foremost, the cost increase was astronomical. What was initially presented as a reasonable estimate turned into a financial nightmare. Throughout the project, I was hit with unexpected expenses and unjustified cost hikes. It seemed as though they were trying to squeeze every last penny out of me without any regard for the initial budget we had discussed. But here's where the situation takes a particularly disappointing turn. When anyone on Google (review) attempted to voice their concerns and dissatisfaction in a negative review, Gino’s Homes, conveniently claimed they couldn't find their information in their database. It's incredibly frustrating to think that a builder would employ such tactics to suppress honest customer feedback. This evasive behavior speaks volumes about their lack of accountability and transparency. It appears they are more interested in protecting their reputation than addressing legitimate grievances and concerns from their customers. In addition to the financial strain, the quality of work provided by Gino’s Homes was subpar. I encountered numerous issues with the construction, from shoddy craftsmanship to delays in project completion. The communication was also severely lacking, with my inquiries often going unanswered or being met with vague responses. My experience with Gino’s Homes left me deeply disappointed and financially burdened. It's disheartening to witness a builder resorting to evasive tactics rather than addressing the concerns of their clients. I strongly caution anyone considering this builder to proceed with extreme caution and be wary of potential cost increases that might not be disclosed until it's too late.Keep in mind that the co-owner Rob C. is going to ‘Rob’ you with his sweet talk in the beginning and the co-owner Frank C. is going to play an expensive prank on you after you sign the contract. I pray to the Lord that these cunning people get punished for their bad deeds. I recommend every person who is considering to build with Gino’s to go knock on the door of new homes built by Gino’s and get the homeowners honest view and experience with this fraudulent company.

I am a licensed general contractor and last November I was helping a friend complete and finished his newly built Gino's home. Since he's unable to leave a negative review due to the contract that he signed, I am doing so on his behalf. Never in my 25 years of experience have I come across such a poorly built house. Some things to look out for if you decide to build with Gino's: many scratched windows between the triple panes as well as exterior, dented siding, crooked walls, door sills not protected during the build therefore badly damaged, poorly fitting doors rubbing against the door casing, drafty front door, no silicon around windows and doors, I could go on and on.....he has had a lot of problems trying to get these issues fixed and it was always a constant battle. They'd say: this is not covered by your warranty or we do not have a trade available to do the repairs at this time. When I was there I took the time to go and visit one of their show homes and sure enough everything was completely finished and none of the above problems were present. I would only buy a show home from them as they seem to put their best trades on those homes and you can see firsthand what you are getting.

Untrustworthy builder. Do not waste your time with this builder and their egotistical owner. There were many issues during the build and even after our possession.

Unethical company. Moved into our new house earlier this year and, to my dismay, I kept getting all these extra charges throughout the building process. Unacceptable! To future prospective buyers - look for the court cases against Ginos in the courts of King's bench.

On the day we went to pick up our keys, Gino’s required us to sign a document that promises we will not leave any negative reviews. No signature = no house keys. Never trust a builder that does this. Many of their positive reviews are from their own contractors and employees. In my opinion… They are a below average, very expensive builder.

Gino's is an average builder with above average lawyers. Nothing about the homes suggest a "premium" builder. Gino's will nickle and dime you till the end, and when questioned regarding additional charges, will respond with labour and material shortages, and, "you signed the contract." I would recommend any of the Qualico builders over Gino's. Better customer service, and they seem to have more clout with the trades, prompting better service.

The management team of Gino Homes prepares the house very carefully and the entire management team takes care of their customers while preparing the house. After selling the house, Gino Homes people do not turn their backs on their customers unlike other companies. Even in difficult times, they support their team members. Rest of you, all brothers, try it once and buy it from home sellers.

Gino Home's service is a disaster. They are very unorganized, unresponsive, and unprofessional. Gino Home's also takes so long to respond to emails and when they do, they lose track of previous requests/inquires and force us to reissue the request and wait another few weeks for a follow up. If you do get a home from them, please keep track of the numbers; credits and upgrades, because for some reason, they only keep track of charges and NOT your credits.Services: Home building
