I initially said these things and I would like to edit my statements (please read till the end for update):Straight up said they wouldn’t work on any car that had previously been stolen. They don’t want your business if you’ve been the victim of a crime. That’s fine they won’t get my business, ever. I had used them previously four years ago And it was fine. But Never again. Doesn’t seem like a good business practice to turn away Repeat customers.
Edit: Boy did they really make this situation right! They’ve reached out, they found a way to help me, I realise now this isn’t just them, but because I had work done with Boyd it was just the first of an industry wide issue) everywhere in Winnipeg is really hard to get anybody to look at a vehicle that’s been stolen, I went through MPI’s whole list of approved mechanics, Nobody would take it, In the city, this big, nobody, but Boyd said they’d work with me they’d help me. Linda you are amazing! Amazing! Weight is taken off of my shoulders. I’m sitting in my kitchen crying because of the difference you have made to me today. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cannot thank you enough, Truly. Thank you. I cannot recommend them enough. My experience was a one off, and when I had used them previously, the experience was so smooth, this was not a true reflection of how they do business. I appreciate that they wanted to learn from this experience to improve their business, I can tell you that They will take care of you and get you back on the road. And you will want to use them again. Thank you!

Update Aug 2024: a month of two after the repairs, the side panel they replaced started showing signs of rust, so they most likely just sanded the rust down, but not till it was gone and then just painted over it. I was rear ended in February of 2024. I went somewhere else because I’m not dealing with Boyd again if I don’t need to. Check other reviews I’ve posted to see which Autobody repair shop I went to instead. I don’t want to leave the name on another Shops review.
Edit: They got a hold of me a couple days later after I posted this review and resolved this issue. The manager that contacted me was very helpful.
Missing items in my car after work was done.
My issue is not with the work done on my car. That was good. When I took my car in I remembered to clear out the more important things. I dreadfully forgot my Leatherman utility knife in my center console and when I went to get it when I got my car back, it was gone. I tried to contact them about it by phone/their contact sheet on the website and did not get a response. I know it's common knowledge to take things out of your car, but this slipped my mind as I was already running late.
I'm very upset as this was a gift from my dad and it is worth almost $300 if I were wanting to replace it.
Again, not impressed and would've been fine if they contacted me back, but still didn't hear anything.

This is the worst auto repair shop I have ever encountered. I don't know about their other branches, but this one is not even worth one star. After my car was stolen, I took it to this shop for repairs. It only needed a key replacement, but since it's a 2007 Chevrolet with a special key, it was a bit difficult to match. They delayed it for two months, and whenever I called them during this period, their attitude was extremely rude. I suggested that if they were having difficulty with the key, I could tow my car to a Chevrolet dealership because I urgently needed it. One day, they called me to come and see my car, saying it had been stolen again, and it was brought back to their shop damaged. I don't know if you believe this, but I certainly don't. What started as a simple key replacement ended with my car being a complete mess. I hope others take warning.

Brutal. They told me my minor fix on my fender would take a week and after 2 weeks I had to call them to find out what was happening. They told me it was almost done.
After that point I had to call them 4 more times to get updates and every time they said the same thing.
It ended up taking over a month and a half and it still isn’t technically fixed properly because my hood is on crooked and they were also missing a part and told me they’d get me to come back in when it arrived.
called them twice more to find out what was going on with the part to which they replied that they had no idea what I was talking about but would order the part now. They said this BOTH times I called! They are awful, I recommend you take your car anywhere else.

Front desk woman was rude, unfriendly, and has zero courtesy. Couldn't wait for me to let her know why I was there, just reached for my paper, interrupted, and ignored me. Until she was ready to give me a sily paper to sign. Even though you know why I may be there - out of courtesy ask "how can I be helped. It's called customer service!

Great people friendly and professionalParking is tricky because this Boyd auto body is located in a strip mall that is shared by several other businesses, so it's not easy to find parking when all the other locations are open

I phoned looking for a basic estimate and to see if they could get me a windshield. Pretty easy to do. The guy on the phone was rude and not helpful. Told me 'we don't stock parts', I asked if he could see the availability of a windshield, nope wouldn't even spend the time. Told me they don't deal with older vehicles and won't even consider helping me. Then proceeds to tell me they'll deny service to any older car.How rude and unprofessional are you? You can't spend 5 minutes with a customer who's paying out of pocket to see if you can get a windshield. This guy needs a serious attitude adjustment. I called speedy glass right after. They helped me out and are looking into getting me a windshield. No issues.Don't go to this Boyd. They don't care about the customer.

they did an excellent job on my truck they repaired all the damage and it looks like new. they even went above and beyond the Call of Duty & repaired a few extra things at no extra cost.
