A single mom taken for a ride even tho I did my due diligence, I heard nothing but good things about Eds Auto, but that was only thier experience...NOT MINE!My car kept showing codes that it's running too lean & had low fuel pressure.First on Friday Al ran a scan & charged me $62-63 for what I already knew...because I have my own code scanner too.I said I was worried about the catalytic converter because of how long this was going on for. There was already a brand new fuel pump less then 2yrs old in it among other new parts, but his professional opinion was to replace it again and go from there to trouble shoot. Quoted me $472So I saved up and following week took my car in on Tuesday.With out my knowledge he changed the fuel filter & ran a second scan bumping my bill up about $70 more. Apon picking up my car, he tells me it still has low fuel pressure and now he thinks it's that catalytic converter. (Just as I was worrind about)Then in the most unfriendly way threatens to keep my car until I have paid in full because he's not gonna let me rip him off...I did have the money he quoted me but not any extras he charged me after that I had no idea about.UPDATE* WENT TO PTG AUTO & IT WAS ONLY THAT THE IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE WAS DIRTY...$107 TO FIX/CLEAN .. NOT NO $472 TO FIX NOTHING AT ALL!

On the recommendation of a young lady at the Fairgrounds campground, we went to this place to have our truck evaluated and repaired. We got an appointment very quickly. Extraordinary service: clarity in explanations, eagerness, punctuality and honesty. In addition, as we had to wait until the next day for the work to be completed, Al offered to sleep in our camper on the garage grounds (electricity included). In addition, he also left us the service car. What courtesy! We recommend this place 100/100. Thank you for your welcome and the good work.

Dropped in to ask about getting an out of province inspection. No problem, come back in an hour. 5 things to fix, no hard sell to fix them for me. Al even pointed out a couple of things that the old jeep needed, and basic how-to to fix the transfer case leaks. I was back the next day with all repaired and had the follow-up inspection and paperwork right away. Thanks everyone. Two thumbs up!

We had car troubles on a road trip and the locals told us about Ed Thurston Auto. After a quick call, they had us come in right away. The mechanic, Al, was awesome! He explained what was wrong in a clear manner, and had us back on the road in no time.Super honest, friendly people here. Massive recommend!

He is very dishonest person.i brought my van for safety.he failed safety with a lot of stuff failed and I asked how much it will cost me to fix he gave me estimate of $2500+.I went to safety standards & inspection they checked my vehicle and fail my vehicle. And the failed only 10% of the work which he failed and it cost me to fix only $278 .Please never ever go there ed Thurston repair is only ripped off innocent people.Never go there he also charged me $225 to check my vehicle

An honest mechanic. Is there really such a thing? Took my truck in for breaks to be changed. He didn't change them and told me they didn't need to be done yet. I just had a bunch of mud built up causing issues. He is quick, honest and does good work. I usually leave my truck overnight so he can get to work early. I've also picked up after hours and had bills sent in the mail. Highly recommended.
