Worst experience ever.
Named a Luxury repair facility but...
One of the front lights of my BMW needed replacement after a collision.
They replaced it with a severely worn Salvage part that was obvious from tens of meters away. Blamed MPI for not approving full amount.
After complaining to MPI and a month of waiting, the MPI attested that this repair was not acceptable and approved replacement with a brand new light.
After messaging them twice, they messaged back that the new light is ordered and ready for installation.
I took the vehicle back for replacing the salvage light. They got back to me after a few hours stating that they have managed to repair the old light instead of replacing it.
A salvage part that needed to be replaced is now called "repaired" and again thrown at me.
I have messaged back that I am not going to accept the salvage part and need my proper replacement as MPI has approved it already.
I am waiting to see if they do the right job otherwise I will complete this review.
I really expected much better from a place that bears Birchwood brand. I have always been Birchwood BMW's customer.

Happy with overall replacement of my windshield and my interactions with the Birchwood staff. Reason for 3 stars is being a luxury collision center you'd think you'd get some sort of quick courtesy exterior wash and vacuum, when my BMW goes in for routine service i can always expect to get into a clean car. Guess those days are long gone ??♂️

I took my car to be repaired at birchwood collision. The expectation time was 8-10 business days but I received my car after 28 days with scratches on the car. They did not accept it and their manager said go and claim it to MPI as hit and run. I could not believe they run business like this, big liars!
Also, reverse camera does not work when I received my car. When I complaint Riqi Garcia, manager there responded in a very bad way. Do not take your car there. There are good shops other places!

Very thankful for the friendly, accommodating staff at Birchwood Collision while I waited for my car for over 3 months. After a mistake from the mechanic, Birchwood Collision offered me a free rental. Big thanks to Ryan H for the car updates!

Excellent - had to get my windshield replaced on my Range Rover. Drove in from out of town & it was ready by 3:30pm which was much earlier than expected. Kate Kravchenko was very helpful with initial call & follow up messages, as well as the fellow there. Also a rental vehicle was available, although I didn't need it. A+++++

Just had major repairs done to my BMW X3. They gave me an expected finish date, they were close despite general problems in the industry getting parts. I also received 3 texts to keep me aware of their progress.

Pretty sure Chipman's have squeezed out anyone who can repair luxury vehicles. I have a Land Rover and only Birchwood or Don Vito can repair it. My guess is that Don Vito was around long enough to be qualified, but Chipman's gave squeezed anyone else out to be able to repair
If I could leave a negative review, I would. My journey began months ago when I first brought my vehicle in. This was April. They had no notes on my initial claim. I was unfortunately hit a few months later and decided to get both claims done.
I brought my vehicle in....again...2nd time which they almost fixed it to 100%. But forgot damage I told them about 3 times. I I got to bring my vehicle in again to repair the damage after another 4 hours of lost work and rental insurance.
Avoid this place if at all possible
Iwill say the only person or shining light would be Riqi she was away most of my repairs but handled my initial situation very well

Like many other Winnipeggers I had a MPI hail claim this summer and decided to use Birchwood Collision for the repair because my BMW was purchased from Birchwood so I thought I would stay with them and hopefully get good service. I have used Boyd Autobody for many years that was always awesome but decided to go this route hoping for a more "elevated" experience; I couldn't be more wrong. After leaving multiple messages with Riley and not getting any return calls after 5 weeks (I was patient due to the high demand for hail repair), I turned to my BMW sales rep Paul who promptly got the manager of Birchwood Collision to give me a call and suddenly I got an assessment appointment a week later on November 3rd. I thought "awesome", we are back on track. Well, I was wrong again. Now it's 8 weeks later and not a single update from them. I called yesterday and left a message with Riley again, who actually returned my call the same day and told me to contact the Headingly location because that was their "luxury" division. I left a detailed message there (no one answers the phone at these locations) and got a call back hours later. I just talked to Kate and she has no idea about my claim and says that they don't even do Hail damage repair and now transferred me to another voicemail. What a freakin' joke!!! Worst customer service ever, take your business elsewhere.

We only went here on the recommendation of birchwood BMW.TAKEAWAY: Do not purchase a vehicle from birchwood Automotive, and PLEASE do not bring it to birchwood collision. They will make their own disorganization and issues your problem.1. Will not do a proper inspection for quote on repair2. Will not communicate about the time it will take or any updates3. They will provide INCORRECT updates for someone else's vehicle4. Take zero accountability unless you show up at their doorstep5. Will not provide any reimbursement for the mess they made, the money and headache they caused you.When we showed up to meet the manager, he said no one had even TOUCHED our car for two months while he was on vacation. He apologized but still took THREE WEEKS to eventually get the vehicle written off.I paid $2500 out of my own pocket for car rentals in the meantime while they were sitting twiddling their thumbs for two months with my vehicle disassembled, not getting fixed. The shop manager said the person performing the initial estimate didn't even take off the back door or it would've been a write-off from the start.The entire process was so painful. Our family has always purchased BMWs, and I stuck to that tradition with my first vehicle being serviced at Birchwood BMW and the second vehicle being bought at Birchwood BMW. I will ensure that nobody I know brings their premium vehicles here just to sit in limbo for months.I hate leaving bad reviews, but I hope other people are able to look at this and avoid being in the same situation

There is just no good reason to bring your vehicle here. They have no regard for their customer's convenience. On top of this, the location is remote for most Winnipeggers. There are far better options.
