Regardless of the reason you cant forcefully detain someone, customer or not. Happens constantly at this location, you are not police or even security.

Site and Google says open till 10pm, closes at 8? It's a small city with a large serving area and they close at 8 on a Friday? Pretty disappointing. Will start going the opposite direction to Yorkton

In all my travels in Canada and the US I’ve still never seen another beta type Walmart like this one we have here.It has the bare minimum. It’s an interesting curiosity at best I suppose, being a Walmart inside a mall and all.

walmart. navigation within the store can be confusing at times. only one lane for checking out aside from self check out.

No produce aisle and limited selection of goods. Aisles are also pretty narrow and it’s cramped 🙄. The bathrooms could be nicer.

The staff need to be trained.Most do not know where product is,and if u ask...they tell u they do not know,and they don't offer to help look. The next issue is when your standing in line with just 2 things and they only have 3 tills open on a busy day,and when u get up to the cashier....he or she tells u she is closing...and u have been standing in line for a bit...the staff always seems unhappy and angry.

So when do we get a store to compete with Walmart? Today I went into Walmart to purchase three items. One of them was unavailable and found the other two. One of the items I had a coupon for. I was directed to the self checkouts (as usual) and found that my coupon couldn’t be processed through the self checkouts. I was told I would have to wait in line to have a cashier help me. I had asked prior to using the self checkout if I could use my coupon and was told yes, but obviously that was wrong.
I then asked to speak to a manager, as I am disabled and didn’t feel that I could stand in line to wait and wondered why I was misinformed. The manager AND assistant manager both stared at me with dumb looks on their faces and had no explanation and offered no help! I left without any of the items in my cart and completely unsatisfied!
People talk about shopping locally, and I understand that Walmart isn’t really local, but this is why we use Amazon or go to Brandon or Winnipeg! Dauphin Walmart is a total joke and is a sad excuse for a Walmart! Dauphin needs to demand better both in the selection and the customer service and treatment. This is NOT my first bad experience at Walmart and I am sure it won’t be my last!
