Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. Won’t go into details, however as soon as the doctor saw me, she wanted to send me home. I had an infection and she did not do any blood test even though requested. She pushbackex on getting a culture to identify what type infection. I will never go to this location ever again.

Best hospital for mental health issues. Treated kindly and respectfully. Family was informed about everything that was going to happen. They also took good care of family involved. I cannot thank you enough for helping us through this most difficult time.

Came in with sudden severe back pain that woke me up out of my sleep, shortness of breath & hurts to move. The lady who did my vitals was great & said she’s glad I came in today & they will figure out what’s going on… she brings me to the room where I wait for an hour listening to nurses laughing and talking the whole time. A nurse never came in and I had to pee but didn’t because I figured they would need a urine sample. Over an hour goes by Dr. Christopher Hasslinger comes in and touches my back listens to my breathing and was in there for about 2 mins & told me it’s probably just something with my muscle. I said I have to pee you don’t need a urine sample ? and he said no. Just ice & heat (which I’ve been doing). So no x- ray no urine sample & he saw me for 2 minutes. None of my concerns mattered to them and they didn’t care. I had my son here & because of the carelessness of this DR & the nurses I will never come back here again.

This is a wonderful hospital with kind and caring staff. The RN’s go above and beyond for their patients and the surgical team is excellent, especially Dr. Myers. RN’s in surgery Jim and Justin are exceptional.

Dr. Ryan Jackson was kind and attentive to my son, who, after evaluation, was either suffering from a 24 hour bug or food poisoning. He explained the process of evaluation and treatment in an emergency room to me- which is important because it was information I didn’t have prior.Dr. Jackson and the nurse who attended to my son, helped my son feel comfortable in a state of indignity while he dealt with vomiting and diarrhea. You can feel confident that Dr. Jackson will not only access your medical problem/distress, but explain the process of attending to your symptoms in tandem with your diagnosis.Top notch care!Thank you, Dr. Jackson!

If you’re having an emergency, SKIP this hospital. Go to Portland or really anywhere else. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Adult daughter was seen here at York Hospital 6/16 through 6/17 EVERYONE was kind, caring, calming and informative throughout out stay. The experience was top notch from the moment that we arrived. Thanks to ER crew Ryan Dodge PA, Dr Morgan OBGYN, Dr Connelly, Owen, Molly & MB for the dedication and thoughtfulness as well as the perseverance to a diagnostic outcome that took time to figure out. To the surgery team Dr Schnur, Dr Chi, James, Angela & Andrew thank you for the outstanding care. We definitely had our mixture of emotions …pain, stress, anxiety, fear and disappointment, yet you all helped us through it! We are so grateful to each and everyone of you! You all worked so diligently with care and patience and our constant ringing of the help call button.
Would definitely come back to your hospital if need be. *****Ryan Dodge PA thanks for having us wait it out when our day had been so long! *****. To all reading reviews, things in healthcare sometimes take time and there’s not always immediate answers. Remember to be patient with the providers as they do have our best interest and this is why they went to higher education, to help those in need. They may also need to talk amongst colleagues to figure things out.

I went there twice for a swollen eye, they didn’t even put a light to my eye and handed me antibiotics that didn’t help and I waited two days for it to work. I called to ask for my paperwork and they said “you’re not allowed to seek medical advice over the phone”… highly do not recommend, I have family who work here and could tell ya the same. Go to wentworth douglass in Dover, very nice there.

My son came in with a tumor on his testicle they refused to ultrasound. He now has strange 4 cancer and their response to my complaint I wrote was “you were told to go to see a pediatrician” We did, but it took months to get him is as he was sick over and over and due to COVID they had to wait for him to get better. The biggest question I have that was ignored by the CEO was WHY DIDNT THEY ULTRASOUND HIM???? It’s it a requirement? That’s what our nurse told us when we finally got in. Everyone was disgusted at the oversight however the CEO seems to think this is on me for not being diligent enough. As if bringing him to he hospital wasn’t good enough. He was right. They lack the knowledge and I wouldn’t bring my kids there for a splinter.

Brought my husband in for chronic hiccups ( had been going on for (a week after his knee replacement surgery) ER RN adminis saline and medicines via IV then left the room. Husband began behaving very odd, agitated, hallucinating etc. It took 3 calls to finally get someone to the room, the ER RN and ER Tech person. RN playing with vitals monitor ( lights had been blinking / BP CRASHING ) I'm asking questions and being ignored - they leave room and return with ER Dr. Dr notices LOW BP and immediately lowers his head down. ER Dr questioned RN as to the delivery of the medicines ( slow release ) LIES!!! Both syringes were a quick push vs the very slow push over 10 - 15 minutes as it should have been. RN flat out lied! Being in the ER, you would think that someone would be in the room STAT before even my 1st call. They obviously had no one in the nurse station monitoring vitals and if they did have someone monitoring, they are not trained.APPALLING and I am more then embarrassed to even mention York Hospital. YOU SHOULD BE GROSSLY ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES
