I went in and got a few shirts for my family back home and the very nice cashier he was so nice and I had explained why we were here to celebrate my moms life as she passed due to cancer in may and he gave me a heart stone with sand in it and said this is for you. It made me cry right in the store. What a kind gesture I will definitely be returning and telling my friends and family….good karma and kindness goes a long way….thank you again to that man

I remember going in The Whispering Sands when I was a kid. My sister used to collect the mice you sold. I think she owns all of them. I also recommend the smell...idk what it was but it smelled great. I wish I had the money to go back home to York Beach. We used to go across the street to Pops Shell Shack. I'm so sorry he passed away & the shop is gone. There used to be a 5 & dime diagonal from you...I wonder if it's still there. I haven't been home in 35 years. Oh I forgot about The Golden Rod. Good times.

Local family run business and hands down best gift shop in York beach! Amazing products and the best fudge! (Which is way better and even cheaper than the goldenrod!)The people are extremely friendly and helpful. We always come back!

The owners are super nice, their selection is great and their prices are so fair- not inflated like you usually see in a tourist area (I know this for a fact since I own gift stores)!

Loved this place! The owners are creative and super nice! The store is beyond packed with some cute items, I could spend a few more hours just looking at everything. Loads of souvenirs, decals, trinkets, ornaments, jewelry, handcrafted sections and the list goes on!! Prices are reasonable for a touristy area, right a beach.Street parking is available but it's a matter of finding an open spot. Parking is free. There were loads of other stores, restaurants and activities to do, within walking distance.Highly recommend this place and happy we found it!

Great beach gift store. Nice variety. The owners are super nice. I called the owner after leaving and asked if you would consider mailing me something! Although it's not something they normally do! She said no problem! I received it in less then a week! She went above and beyond! So thankful for her kindness!
