These people are thieves, contacted better business bureau. They would not refund our deposit money for 3 months, and only after we called multiple times. Then they withheld an extra $100 for cleaning, on top of the $200 cleaning fee, because we used towels that were left out in the house… for use? Stay away.

#805 Ocean Harbour South Condo If I could rate this a 0/5 stars I would have: I'm a traveling nurse and found this condo online via this Florida Rentals website. I showed up to this condo a couple nights before I was to start my new assignment. I love the beach. Florida is one of my most favorite places in the world so I was excited to begin this assignment. When I arrived, the pictures online did not reflect the current state of the condo whatsoever. There was mold growing on the counter, the beds had mold growing on the bedspreads and sheets, trash still in the trashcans, sand and dirt all over the balcony, food and stains all over the couch -- and more mold. There was leftover food in the cupboards, the counter was sagging so much that I was unable to even close the dishwasher. The toilet seat in the bathroom had been broken off -- and get this -- it was hidden behind the toilet. Simply unbelievable. I later entered the kitchen and found one of the outlets sparking! I also found dirty laundry (from who knows how long ago) sitting in the washer as well. The drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were decomposing and covered in mold as well. When I contacted the owner, Leo, detailing the condition of his condo, he told me his crew had already come through and cleaned the place. I told him there was no way this place was in renting condition and I expected a full refund as I had already paid for an entire month of rent. He said he would talk with the Realtor, Bill Jones (from York, Maine) and get back with me. For the next week Len and Bill dodged my calls, making excuses for why the condo was in such a terrible condition but then when I told them I was demanding the return of my money, Len usually would say, "Oh, hey Luke? My father's doctor is calling me. I need to take this call. I'll call you right back." This trick worked on me a couple times but after he repeatedly used it, and then failed to return my calls I finally understood what was going on. I finally got my money returned but it was seriously like pulling teeth. I have a friend who lives in the same condo complex and as of last week (12/30/21) she said that the condo still has not been cleaned (per her friend the maintenance man) but that Len and Bill are still trying to rent the place out. PLEASE, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL! THESE MEN ARE CROOKS AND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE A BUCK.

We rented a beautiful home on Beacon Street in York ME for the week of July 3-10th. We did not have the best weather for the entire week, but our home away from home was far beyond a summer rental. They thought of everything! Thank you for a week of memories with my son and daughter and their families. We would love to come back and do it again next year. Thank you Bill Jones and the owners for a wonderful week!!!

Doug Peterson from the Bill Jones Realty Team has been resourceful and relationally excellent in helping both my family and the owner of our winter rental work out all the challenges we face to secure our rental. The Covid situation was challenging beyond anything I believe the real estate market has seen. Doug shepherded us through. We are very grateful. I recommend Doug 100%.

My family and I have rented from the Bill Jones Realty Team for the past few years and we have had nothing but a positive experience. Bill and his team were attentive and very accessible to reach with any questions we had. Even this year through the pandemic we were able to stay in touch regularly as things changed and they provided us with multiple options when we were unable to proceed with our trip. Do NOT rent from this realty team. After viewing one of the locations they had up for rent in person I dropped off my application for the house. Upon dropping off my application as well as a check, I was told I would be getting the house and that they would conctact me about a lease signing. I officially stopped looking for homes after a 6 month search and was looking forwards to moving in September 1st. A month passed and I called to ask if I could move in sooner than the orginal date, fully prepared to sign a lease and pay everything in full. I was greeted with a hesitant voice which continued to explain that his partner had recieved a phone call from me stating I wanted my money back (this NEVER happened). When asked about more details he had none for me and told me he ripped up my application. I then asked about my check which I had given him and he begun to tell TWO completely different stories. One saying that he cashed it and another saying he still had it. Naturally concerned about my money, as well as confused to why I was never contaced before trashing my application, I began to calmy question him further. At this point he became extremely defensive as well as hot headed and hung up the phone on me. I then drove to see them in person, where i was greeted by both men who seemed entirely confused about why I was not pleased with the way they conducted bussiness. The last words he said to me were "I'm sure you'll find somewhere better." which was the cherry on top of this entire transaction. There are plenty of other realty teams in the area, save your time and your money and go somewhere proffesional.

Similar to Brian's experience we were rented a house two summers ago (I believe the same one) that had mouse droppings EVERYWHERE - not easy to deal with and a wrecked vacation as we were not able to stay.

We have used Bill Jones Realty a couple of times and had good experiences; until this year. We rented 3 cabins from August 3 - 10, 2019 in York, Maine. The cabins were a perfect fit for our family. We loved the location. The cabins were cute and had recently been renovated. However, when we arrived, 2 of the cabins were in less than acceptable condition. One cabin was in decent shape as far as cleanliness. The next cabin, the floors were dirty. We had to sweep, vacuum and mop the floors upon arrival. The last cabin was absolutely filthy. They were covered in dog hair and dirt. We had to sweep, vacuum and mop the floors. There was sand on the mattress protectors, hair in the tub, dirty cups in the cabinets, dirty and clogged coffee pot, the grill was not clean and the bathroom door would not latch. We spent hours upon our arrival cleaning, scrubbing and repairing.

He did not believe us and said he had inspected and the cabins were clean ... "we must've dragged in the dirt when we arrived." However, the next day, he did call and apologize. He had not seen the pictures with the dog hair, etc. He did say that it was unacceptable and "what could he do to make us happy." After some thought, we decided a refund of the cleaning fees was appropriate since we had had to clean everything upon our arrival. After some back and forth, Bill agreed. However, he changed his mind because he said the cleaning fees had already been given to the cleaning company (the "cleaning company" was the owners of the property; not a professional cleaning company). He then stated that he would refund 1/2 the cleaning fees out of his own pocket and the owner would pay the other 1/2 because "vacations are supposed to be stress free." We told him we would leave the cabins broom cleaned. The last response we received was "I thought you were going to leave them cleaner than they were. I feel like you are taking advantage but it's not worth fighting over." We definitely left the cabins cleaner than they were! However, the point of the refund was because we had had to spend a great deal of our time cleaning UPON our arrival. We weren't requesting the refund because we would do the cleaning for the next guests! We had to do a major cleaning for our own week. Unfortunately, Bill did not live up to his agreement. Not only did we NOT receive any refund of our cleaning fees, Bill was rude in his responses to us. The whole situation was unacceptable and created stress for our family during the week.

I called Bill about a week ago to inquire about a seasonal rental. I was told by bill that due to some circumstances I could not see the property until the following Tuesday and to call him on Monday to ensure that he could show the property still on Tuesday and to set up a time. I called Bill on Monday morning to for him to tell me that he had already showed the property 3 times already that morning. I asked if I could still see it on Tuesday as we discussed. Bill scheduled a 11AM showing and told me to call at 10AM to confirm that I am still coming to see the property. I was already on the road driving to the property when I called Bill to confirm that I was still coming he told me that there are already 3 people that he is deciding between for that property however he has others available. I asked if he could send me some comparables he just told me they were on his website. Very very shady and deceptive. STAY AWAY from this scam.

My family booked a rental house through Bill Jones Realty for the week of July 20-27, 2019. We called Bill Jones Realty and asked for houses available in the York area. He gave us four different options and we settled on a rental house located on Nubble Road, on Cape Neddick, in York ME. The listing described the house as a cottage.
