“Was coming home from a great vacation in Maine and headed back to Ohio. Had a flat, figured we picked up some road debris. It was not debris. Both rear tires were worn real bad on insides (alignment issue)(were new tires with only 12,000 miles on them). Stopped at a couple of shops, no one had our size. Stopped at Don Foshays, and they did not have our size either, but Randy, the manager, told us to go to Tire Warehouse that they usually have some sizes like our Explorer had 255/50/20. Thankfully, Tire Warehouse did have our size, but unfortunately, they were completely booked up for that day with customers. The manager there suggested she could sell the tires to us if Don Foshays could put them on for us. So we called Randy, and after verifying, the front tires were within the tolerance to just install 2 new tires (all wheel drive vehicle) that he said yes we can install them for you to get you back home to Ohio. Got us, right in and all fixed up. Two competitor's tire shops worked together to get us fixed up and back to Ohio. I am forever grateful. Definitely give this business your business.”

I've had bad luck at other places with the wrong oil put in or even when they fix something, I leave and find a new problem that wasn't there before... but not here. Some history: My husband and I used Portland Glass to mirror 2 walls in small rooms in our beautiful 1907 Portland apartment renovation. They did an absolutely FLAWLESS job and made our rooms look TWICE the size and twice as bright :-) True perfectionists, the wonderful installer refused to leave until everything was absolutely impeccably aligned.
This brings me to today's adventure… We're just back from 2 weeks in Colorado at our son's wedding, and we're lucky enough to have a dear friend who lives on a magnificent island, who was happy to keep our delightful husky at "summer camp" in our absence. She was reported to have been as perfect as promised... with one exception: having been left at home during a short dinner party, closed in the house and getting a little bit anxious, she exited through a screen door ? Her very chill host made no big deal about it, but mentioned that she had left the screen at Portland Glass for repair. It would be repaired within two weeks. Since we were driving through Brunswick to pick Ember up, I called and got Renee on the phone who put me on hold while she went to see if there was any possibility of expediting the repair. Within a minute she was back saying that we could pick it up in an hour ? Not only did they do a perfect job, but everyone I met was an absolute delight :-) I looked like a hero meeting our friend at the dock to retrieve Ember, repaired screen in hand!!

“Went to Prompto Oil Change in Brunswick on 5 July 2024. Awesome experience. The 3 workers I interacted with were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Changed oil quickly, then reset the dashboard reminder on my 16 year old pick-up! Will definately come back again!”

“I have a 2014 Wrangler which had lots of TLC with garage prior to moving to Maine a couple years ago. It's not very fond of snow, slush, cold, and mud..........and fortunately for me, I found James. He has been more than helpful, and seems to always be able to help when needed without long wait times. His shop is so clean and he explains everything in detail. I feel very safe knowing James has worked on my vehicle and I feel a whole lot better than when I used to use Jeep dealerships. “Took a couple weeks longer than we’d hoped but to their credit, they were candid about the delays. Josh at the front desk is excellent: friendly, and clear and detailed explanation of the process (insurance coverage and repairs—using actual Toyota parts, I might add) and patient with my weekly calls. That said, the slightly longer wait was well worth it and reflects their commitment to quality service and repairs. The car was only two months old (!) when a mailbox ran up and hit the side of our car…but Pro Body made it look new again. And the paint match is flawless. Midcoast Mainers are fortunate to have such stellar repair service handy. A+!”

“Low tire pressure light on...slow leak. Have to add air every day. Call around to various chain tire shops..."well, maybe we can make an appointment for a week from now, and you'll have to leave the car all day." Someone tells me about Cahill, I call, they say sure, come anytime. The tire is fixed and I'm on my way in less than 20 minutes. I was honestly impressed. Certainly the most efficient tire repair operation I've seen in the US. You pull up in front, they jack up the car, remove the wheel, find the problem, fix it, and then put the tire back on. Bang, bang, bang. No pretense, no wasted effort. If you've got a flat near Bath, don't waste your time going anywhere else.”
“My wife, my dog and I were on vacation when our West's transmission died more than 1,300km from home. FAS welcomed us with open arms when they saw us arrive with our van hooked up to our UHaul ? and managed to repair our van in less than 24 hours! To allow us to complete our trip!

“Bought a great BMW in cash back in September 2022, but there was an issue with the paperwork, so I didn’t officially own it until June 2023 (8 months after purchase). Felt like I was given the run around but in the end Andrew gave true to his word and I ended up with a great vehicle. I’ve already put on 42k miles and I’ve never had any engine issues. Every European auto shop I visit agrees it’s a great engine. Great purchase from Skelton’s, he knows exactly how to choose which cars to sell.
