We stayed here on my first visit to Wiscasset. The proprietor, François, is amazing. She was friendly and helpful, quick check in to a beautiful room, clean and elegant French primitive. The spot is very central to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast is included and tailored to what we preferred—tea instead of coffee, flavors of jam, etc. I loved the firm mattress but will warn, it’s very firm. Lovely spot in the world!
Nearby activities: Close to the famous Reds Eats, and the more welcoming Spragues.
Walkability: All of Wiscasset is walkable. The only problem is getting there through the traffic bottleneck if you arrive toward the end of the workday.

C'est parfait! There were very few images online and we're so glad we stopped by to check it out! We've been on the road for a week and this was hands down our favorite place and such a lovely surprise. We walked into the charming primitive French antique store and met Francois who is the sweetest! There are only two rooms so we were very lucky one was available last minute. If you like the style of the shop you will love these rooms, rustic simple and charming. Francois brought us a basket of food in the morning! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Wiscasset near the bridge. This town is so idyllic, we hope to be back again!

The B and B at the Marston house is perfect in every way: so cute, so quaint, and with amazing pillows.

Our stay at Marston house was picture perfect. The room was filled with beautiful French Antiques. The next morning we woke up to a lovely breakfast of blueberries, yogurt, biscuits and coffee which we enjoyed in the garden. The service was great and so is the location to the water.

My wife and I had a lovely 3 night stay with Francoise. The breakfast was really delicious and the room was cute and clean. The shower had great water pressure. The parking was easy. We could walk to several different restaurants. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Had a wonderful stay here. The noise was really not very bothersome and the room and location were perfect. Francoise makes a delicious breakfast. And our dog was welcomed and he loved it too! Highly recommended.

A very pretty room indeed. But with a serious lack of insulation and it’s proximity to the main road it was intolerably noisy. I was going to stay three nights but decided to cut my losses and left after the first night. The constant road noise of route 1 was just too much. Even though it lessened a bit after midnight, the semis barreled along regularly and kept me from getting any decent sleep. (Btw earplugs did not help).

Precious stay that transported one to another time and place. Very pleasant accommodations.

The Marston House is listed as a bed and breakfast but in fact it is just a room above the garage. They advertised a garden but it was overgrown and there wasn't any shared space for lounging in the main house. There is no Air conditioning and being above the garage it was very warm. The house is located on the main street so it is very noisy. The proprietor was very friendly but did not give us a number in which to reach her if we needed anything and twice we knocked on the main door which was locked with no response.

Beautiful room in the peace and quiet. The host left us a great breakfast in the morning and helped us with a late check-in. Would thoroughly recommend

Our room was beautiful, and breakfast was wonderful. The Wi-Fi is not strong enough for an iPad or Apple type computer. A windows laptop can pick up the Wi-Fi. Perhaps a wifi extender/booster would help. Most importantly, a handrail to help go up the stairs is needed. We had a little trouble there. Everything else was great, and our hostess was wonderful.

Wish we could have experienced the store! We stopped in during business hours to find it locked. We called and no answer. Drove an hour to see it. Quite disappointed! The other shops in town were lovely though. Worth a trip but sad we didn't get to see this one in spite of our efforts.

Marston House is France in Maine. Everything is beautiful, down to the woven linen napkins at breakfast. Françoise is a wonderful to talk with and has a fabulous eye for special antiques. We can’t wait to return!
