My parents truck broke down the day before they were supposed to leave for Canada. They had called around to a lot of shops and Grove Auto & Tire was the only place that could squeeze them in!
After dropping the truck off, the staff offered to drive my dad back to their house (about 3-miles) so he didn't have to walk home or wait for it there for service. Grover Auto & Tire called before they started service indicating exactly what had to be fixed. They were polite, professional and trustworthy! My parents will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone needing great service!

I bought my car from Grover's and continue to go to them for maintenance and repairs because they are a friendly and honest family establishment. They offer thorough, quality work at a reasonable price without being pushy. This is not a corner-cutting "quick-lube". The mechanic is a pro and the owner is a very nice gentleman.

If you bring your own parts here they will refuse to install them. This was a big let down unfortunately because I had already purchased what I wanted to put in my vehicle. They said they only put in parts that they supply that I would have to buy off them that were way more $.
It’s my vehicle why do I have to use your parts?
Perhaps it was for the best, the place is not very inviting on the outside. It’s attached to a depressed apartment/ garage or something. Kinda gross. I would expect them to be more flexible but I guess not. I do not recommend and will not return.

Warning honest review! I would not recommend this place for several reasons number one. Their rates are extremely high for basic service and repair.
Number 2- this place will turn you away if you bring them any parts that you supply. They are looking to gouge every last penny, and nickel they can out of you by up charging you so they can instal there their own parts in addition to their high labor rate.
This place is only interested in working on Rust buckets, and stock basic original manufacturing vehicles. Apparently, that’s all they want for clientele.
Number 3, it’s just off route one and it’s kind of a sketchy /shady looking nook with a dilapidated apartment right next to it that’s falling over and a bunch of nasty vehicles parked outside.
Number 4 - they will not work on any vehicles that are modified in anyway apparently….
Today I walked in, asking to get a pair of sway bar links installed on my pick up truck. A very simple installation that any mechanic should be able to do in a short period of time without any issue. The old man behind the counter with unkept hair refused service saying he was not interested and was borderline unprofessional/un empathetic, he stated that they do not work on anything that’s modified, and they don’t ever install other peoples supplied parts Even if they’re the correct ones. -“full disclosure my pick up truck has a slight lift kit nothing crazy.”
When I asked him if he recommended anybody in the area that could install my sway bar links he shrugged his shoulders and said “good luck bud” and walked away.
I will “NEVER” be returning, They lost me as a customer and will be warning everybody in my local area about this place including all my friends and relatives.
If you are local or in this area, I would recommend Coastal Automotive just down the road, much more friendly, reasonable prices, and willing to help, I walked in there 15 min later and he took me right in without any backlash or hesitation. They are also within the same area and they aren’t picky with their customers, they actually do mechanical work.
This place is a part swapper at best if you want to pay their premium parts / labor rates. - Disappointing.

Danny has kept my old car on the road, for which I'm very grateful. He gives detailed, printed estimates, and will talk over the problems and proposed solutions without treating me like an idiot because I don't know a piston from a crank shaft. Trustworthy and honest. Can't beat that.

Terrible experience. Tried to tell me I needed pads And rotors when I just had them done and wanted upwards of 700. Just wanted an inspection and replace headlights and tail light bulbs which I brought with me charge me 10.00 because I brought my own headlights bulb and even though I had tail light bulb they wouldn't use it. 127.00 to change 2 bulbs and inspection. I will never take a vehicle there again. Took it to another garage and no repair needed for the brakes and got my sticker. I had just had rotors and brakes done for 350.00 i think they were trying to pull one over because I am a woman

I went in for a rear brake job and accidentally said the incorrect part. Once I got the bill, I realized what happened. Although there was nothing wrong with it the mechanic replaced it anyway with out double checking with me. I understand they have no duty or responsibility to contact me, I question why they didn’t? I had a rear brake job, oil change, tire rotation, and my bill was $1,496.46! The owner was kind enough to give me $200 back. I just wanted people to know my story so they can make their own decision to use this business or not. I guess I QUESTION the motivation behind replacing perfectly good parts?

I recently brought my vehicle to ****** auto and tire. I said to the owner. I need a rear brake job, pads, and calipers please. by mistake, I said, caliper and not rotor. I know I said the wrong thing, but after the mechanic looked at them, he shouldve realized that they do not need replacing and explained that i may of made a mistake. Instead, they went ahead and replaced two perfectly good calipers. I ran this scenario by two other mechanics, and they were very surprised and said, they saw you coming! I just wanted to let anybody know who may be considering this shop my story.
