Would rate a zero if I could, never opened when it is most of the time I see a cashier on their phone more than even trying to put stuff away. I get that it’s hard to accomplish a lot with one person but at least put some effort.

This has to be the most unreliable unpredictable disorganized, dirty, business in the area with so many rude, impatient, unprofessional staff! Only reason I even gave 1 star was for those couple staff members that are great! As many times as I've driven to this store only to find out it's not open Grrrrr look I understand sometimes things happen but for a business like this one there is no good reason for it to close b4 the actual supposed time to close or just not open at all to the point that it becomes not that big of a surprise to the customers(it still makes us ANGRY though)& to the other business's in the area. Times are tough enough no need to make your customers have to spend more of thier hard earned money for gas , etc. Because of the blaintent disregard that that store needs ALOT OF HELP!! And has needed it for a long long time!!But it seems it just keeps doing the same things regardless of the results or negative effects it has and is continuing to have on your customers and apparently THATS OK WITH DOLLAR GENERAL & also to those whom can make any kind of positive impact or could help with any thing negatively effecting customers, staff, etc. I'm just DONE with this store!!

Store is a absolute nightmare! Never stocked always has carts and product all over the floor. Staff is lazy and ignorant. They care more about their food phones and complaining than working. They close the store for two days for what? They open back up with carts of product everywhere and when you go to check out you wait while the girl in that back stops looking at her sell phone to help you. They need to close down and fire all staff get a good manager and set the store right. The people of Winterport value the store but deserve way better. The Hampden store shines they staff is amazing and friendly and they are a team. Hope it changes.

This is by far the worst Dollar General store in this area. The aisles are always filled with boxes and they can't seem to keep enough people employed to get this store in order. You have to watch the prices very carefully. Many times the sticker you see on the shelf is not what you are charged. Their excuse is always that they didn't have time to pulled the sales stickers. They have an excellent store in Belfast that is always very orderly and well stocked. Why they can't get this stored modeled after that store is beyond wonder. They should just close this store if they can't manage it properly.

Went here to get some quick and cheap birthday stuff. Plates. Cups. Balloons. Person stopped what the were doing to do balloons for me, super kind, but clearly doesn't do it much because it took a long while. Cashier was a different person. Friendly, told me it was their first week. I felt bad because they clearly hadn't been trained on much except how to ring someone up. They were nice. Lots of things not in stock. To be expected right now. I do think they might need more employees.

This place was great when it first opened. But now it's become a dark poorly lit, cluttered disorganized mess. You can hardly get through isles as product carts are constantly in the way. This is a safety hazard as sometimes you find yourself weaving down several isles before finding a clear way forward, what if there was a fire or other emergency. The employee answer is "well just push them out of the way" not everyone is capable of pushing these big old things around nor should a customer have to. What if one was to fall over or something was to fall off on a child? On top of the mess they commonly have a lack of what your looking for. Perhaps its all buried on the carts ?♀️

The Google map hours state they are open Thanksgiving from 7AM to 10PM. This is a set of special holiday hours. I arrive at store at 8 AM. They have pasted a piece of notepaper on the door saying they are closed. Here on Google they are still listed as open.
