Tried to take me for a $200 ride to press some A arm bushing I already had out of the truck.
I told them that was a joke, and bought a complete assembly for $150, and it wont take 3 weeks for them to get here.
Tried to be super professional and explain how unreasonable that quote was, so he started whining about how long it took him because he didn't read the instructions.

So we limped into Dr Auto Repair with a transmission alarm going off. It was day 2 of our 32 day trip towing a 26 foot travel trailer. They had a look and our transmission was fried..... we are from Canada and we were in a serious bind with a snow storm bringing 24 inches of snow the next day. They ordered a new transmission, let us park our travel trailer and plug in our refrigerator. And if that wasn't enough they loaned us a vehicle to have while they did the repairs. Lovely people, we were back on the road and we have had no more issues. Made it to Hilton Head. Could not say enough wonderful things about this business. They were awesome.

Mitch is the best. We have referred at least 7 families (probably more) to Dr Auto and every single one is happy and refers more people! We used to go to Kennebec Auto but over the years they changed and we no longer felt like they were as honest as they once used to be. A coworker told me about Dr Auto and she said you can really trust them. Well she was right, and that was over 6 years ago! Mitch is a one of a kind. Honest, respectful, and just a nice person. You won't go anywhere else once you use Dr Auto!

I feel like I have auto shop PTSD from an incident I had a year ago (at a place in Bangor- I typically come here but my car broke down there) and they empathized with my situation and were so kind. I’ve come here a few times over the past 5 years since I got this vehicle. They had to wait for a part but I was given the option to leave my car and had it back in a week (the part took 3-5 days I believe and work 2 days) and I feel so much safer driving myself and my son around. My car is driving perfectly. He charged half of what I paid at the other place for double the work- with the amount of work I needed I was expecting around $1000+ (mind you, I am a 25 year old female and know nothing about cars) and it was just over $500. I’m very grateful and will be returning any time my car needs work! Wish I could have tipped you!
