The owner is very nice and accommodating, our dogs love staying there, and the place is appropriately priced. It's a gem, and deserves all five stars.

Very inconvenient hours for pick up & drop off. No one answers the phone. You can schedule grooming by appointment but you can't schedule a time to pick up your dog if those hours don't work for you. It would be nice if someone called you back or let you know how your dog is doing. I wasn't offered a tour, felt rushed upon dropping off & they charged an extra fee for the afternoon pick up. I dropped at 5 picked up at 4pm and would have done so earlier if I could have. The place seemed over run by dogs like they took too many in & on top of it my vaccinated dog got kennel cough. Never again.

We have taken April (Miniature Australian Shepard) to Pride and Joy several times. The only Kennel we trust and will take April to stay while we are away.

The only place we leave our Mini Aussie! The people are very friendly and accommodating. They have held her there longer for us when we called to say we needed to extend her visit. We always have her groomed while she is there and they do a great job!

My dog layed in a filthy bed, which was clean when I brought it in. She stunk so bad, they couldn't be bothered to clean her up. Will never leave my poor baby in those conditions. She was traumatized.

I left my dog with pride and joy for what was supposed to be a week, he died on his 2nd day there and I've never been given an explanation. My best friend is gone and I don't know why. He was 2.5 years old and healthy. I'm heartbroken and I'll never trust another pet with a boarding facility ever again. I blame myself for not looking into this facility more diligently.

We boarded our 3 dogs for almost 3 weeks. They were well taken care of. Mark even took the time to answer our wellness calls to ensure they were ok over the bitter cold. When we picked them up to come home, they were not stressed at all and adapted right away to being home without any issues. I would highly recommend. This is the first time we even boarded them. Thanks Mark and team for taking such great care of our family members.

I take my dog here when I go on short vacations. He is happy when he goes in and happy when he comes out. The price is nice as well.

photos.app.goo.gl/LuBKn7… My pup was there near 4 hours and he was rushed. I know when my dog had a bath with soap and brushed. $50.00 and when I asked Diane to please fix him She said I will not..you upset me. Please fix the uneven cut.

This happened a few years ago but as part of my New Years resolution I am writing a review. My dog is now 11 years old, she has been going to daycare since she was a puppy. I sent her to Pride and Joy for a couple of weeks. The last day I picked her up, she had chewed through her leash. She is a big girl and will pull apart dog toys to get the squeaker. She has NEVER torn apart a pillow or dog bed.She must have been on the leash for a LONG time to have chewed through it. Not only is this inhumane, it is cruel and this place should be CLOSED.

Two stars because the dog is okay now. We left him for 5 days and told them we’re local & to call us if there were any issues. When we picked him up, they hadn’t followed the feeding schedule (1/2 cup morning and evening) because half the food, which we had packaged, was not used. Dog had lost skin on his nose probably from pushing on the kennel door. He was super stressed and had diarrhea & bleeding (vet said probably from stress but who knows?) He had visibly lost weight - his ribs were showing and he smelled really bad either due to the conditions or fear & stress. Due to covid, we hadn’t seen the kennel conditions, but I wonder. Another poster mentioned the noise level of the barking and it was intense for sure. Recommend that you check out the kennel conditions before dropping off your dog and to avoid this if your dog is prone to anxiety

Left my dog for a 2 day stay once. A non-stop cacophony of barking in the back. I've never seen my poor dog so frazzled as after that stay. When employees need to put on hearing protection to go into the kennel area, how do you think that is on a dog's sensitive ears? Any kennel will have some barking, but never heard anything like this before. I assume it is because they are kept close together with no visual separation.
