I have two children who have attended LLCMS and cannot say enough positive things about this school. After we toured the school with the Director years ago, we immediately knew it was the right place for our family. My oldest daughter transitioned there when she was three years old, and we watched her thrive from the very beginning. She spent two years there attending half-day preschool, and she was more than prepared once she entered kindergarten. My second daughter is in preschool there now, and I am confident that she is learning the skills she needs to be successful in life and in school. She is blossoming into a kind, caring, thoughtful learner, and I attribute that to the Montessori education she is receiving from her teachers.I feel at peace sending my child there each day, knowing she is receiving the best care possible, all while developing lifelong friendships, learning important life and self-help skills, and becoming independent and academically prepared for kindergarten. My daughter is excited to go to school everyday to see her teachers and friends, and has so much to tell me at the end of the day.The safety standards and protocol that have been in place since Covid have been made extremely clear, and communication has been constant. I have felt incredibly safe sending my daughter there during this pandemic. The Director is the most genuine, kind, caring, and patient person I’ve ever met. She has always gone above and beyond for children and families, and during Covid it has been no exception. We are so glad we found this community! Little Log Cabin Montessori School has become like family to us, and I would highly recommend to others!

Our family attended this school for a total of 4 years, with each of my daughters going for 2. I cannot say enough positive things about the school, our experience with it, and the teachers and Director herself. Every single day that I left my kids there, I left knowing they were in great hands, and learning great things. So many important life lessons are taught there.. like independence, how to be empathetic, helpful, caring, responsible, and so on. The kids were always so happy to go, with a lot to talk about at the end of the day. Communication was amazing, with the teachers giving daily detailed updates at pickup, and always sending messages and/or leaving notices as needed when there was important information to be given. When it comes to Covid, she goes above and beyond to make sure it is clean and safe and that all the necessary precautions are taken.I highly recommend this school to anyone looking. Every time we drive by, my kids (and I) look and say how much we miss it there. The Director really genuinely cares for the children and their families, and you feel that from the moment you meet her, and it carries on for years, well after your years there.

When we were looking for a preschool for our child my friend strongly recommended Little Log Cabin Montessori School. Both of her daughters had attended the school and she had nothing but wonderful things to say about it all! We visited the school and very much fell in love. The classroom had a sense of peacefulness and the teachers were very knowledgeable in the Montessori practice. One of our biggest concerns for a preschool during covid was health safety and we were very happy to find a school that was requiring masks inside, and being very diligent in all of their cleaning and health protocols. We were also thrilled that they offer both half day and full day options! Although we have not been there long, my child absolutely loves going to school and we are so happy with our experience thus far!

My daughter attended Little Log Cabin Montessori when she was two. I remember when we toured, I was nervous sending my only child there. But once we toured, we felt welcomed. The director was so kind and made sure we felt comfortable and heard.Every time I picked up my daughter she was happy and smiling ear to ear. She was excited to tell me about her day, the works she did and the friends she had. It truly warmed my heart seeing her like that. I knew we chose the right school for her.The director is thoughtful, incredible and beyond caring. She has bent over backwards for our family and we are so thankful. She was and still is there for whatever we needed. Whether it was a simple “have a great day”, a hug, or a friendly conversation. Every single teacher was friendly, kind and caring. There was every day open communication with all the teachers. They would tell me about her day and had lots of details to share. My daughter has thrived and blossomed into such a bright, caring and independent girl, thanks to the Montessori method. She worked on skills like zipping her coats, pouring her own beverages, putting her shoes on, and putting away her belongs. Thanks to Little Log Cabin who worked with her, provided the space and materials she needed to be able to become independent. She also worked on letter recognition, simple math, grammar, counting, shapes, the list goes on. It is truly amazing what Little Log Cabin Montessori offered. She also worked on caring for the environment, such as, watering the plants, caring for pets, learning about trash and recycling. Our family loves caring for Earth, in ways such as using no plastic in our household, reusing and repurposing items. So it was great that she was learning about it and came to understand and respect it. She learned to respect materials, work space, friends, and adults. When we had our son we knew the perfect place we would send him, Little Log Cabin Montessori. He had a tough time with drop offs and his teachers made sure to give him the time, the attention and the comfort he needed without any hesitation. He is still learning and growing there but we are grateful he is there. We are so incredibly thankful and pleased with Little Log Cabin. We wouldn’t want our children to be anywhere else.

My daughter has attended little log cabin for 2 years and I cannot say enough good things. The transition to school was hard on my child- and the staff at the school did nothing but make it as smooth as possible. Frequent updates and communication on her day was much appreciated as a parent! The owner/director immediately made us feel like family. Genuinely caring about my daughter. I never had to worry when she was at school- I know she was beyond well cared for. There has always been very open communication with the teachers! The safety precautions during COVID have been incredible. Frequent communication, thorough cleaning, extra time spent outdoors, and encouraging/requiring face masks. Expectations as far as illness were very clear as well as when the need for a COVID test was required to be able to go back to school with any illness. My daughter has grown so much through her time at little log cabin. She is constantly talking about school and how much she loves her teachers and friends. She genuinely misses teachers on her days off- they have become family to her! She has grown so much and become so incredibly independent since starting at school. She has incorporated so much of her school routine at home as far as tidying up her stuff, and being response for her belongings. She has learned so much about a wide variety of school subjects in a hands on child directed way. It always amazes me the things she comes home and shows me she has learned! She has learned kindness towards friends, teachers and the world around her. She has learned healthy ways to handle emotions as well as conflict with her friends. She has already learned important coping mechanisms when she feels frustrated, sad or angry. She’s learned taking responsibility for her actions or how she makes friends feel. She has learned valuable life skills that she will carry with her forever.I cannot recommend this school more! We have our second on the way and I am counting down the days until he can join this incredible school!

As a daycare it meets minimum standards, it's a stretch to say it is a "Montessori School". It falls far short of expectations to be classified as a school. The facility is staffed only to meet minimum state standards, and as a result doesn't have staff enough to support the needs of the children. Communication was slow and insufficient. During a presumed positive COVID case at the school, it was very difficult to get the necessary information needed from the school, and they were not forthcoming. In addition they fraudulently over-billed for after care hours, and were reluctant to own up to the "mistake" that was consistently in favor of the school. In conversation with the director, she was proud of the number of children she has referred to child development services, this should have been a red flag. If you are looking for a well rounded diverse experience I recommend you look elsewhere. There are other much more mature Montessori programs in the area that would be worth investigating.

LLCMS has been a great place for our family. We appreciate the dedication and enthusiasm exhibited by the entire staff on a daily basis. We have developed wonderful and lasting relationships with the LLCMS community and are grateful to the director for creating and nurturing the experience.
