Sheepscot General is one of the best things about this part of Maine. They are a health food store and cafe and farm all-in-one. Wonderful community vibe -smells delicious inside and the food tastes good too! They have tables inside and a back patio that overlooks the farm land. They also have special events so make sure you check out their website. Very family friendly also.

On my way home to new Hampshire, I had to venture to Sheepscott's for a slice of their delicious quiche (today's option was jalapeno, and if did not disappoint. The flavor was perfect; just enough to taste the pepper flavoring)I also"had to have" two chocolate chip cookies for the ride to be savored closer to my Three hour ride but they didn't quite make it ? - they were delicious as well (OH MY GOODNESS, SO GOOD!!!!)Be sure to pop in, and check them out! I love walking through the store because it is really chuck-full of amazing gift items, food, snacks, everything and more!Also, make sure that you grab a bite to eat, and then pick up a chicken pie for dinner - they are wicked good!!

Excellent and inconspicuous general store filled with delights. Great fresh baked goods, good lunch food amazing groceries and produce, and cool household items. A real gem.

I heard about the pizza! I was so excited I forgot to take a pic first! Pepperoni, kale, and garlic. Dang good! Aaaaaaand then I saw the cookies. Soooooo one of each. I'll be back!

This place is so unique it makes other unique places seem like a chain! But honestly, all of its great, employees are super friendly, the food is amazing. All around great experience, pop in for a visit.

Sheepscot General just gets it right and we are so lucky to have this wonderful place in our community. The food is fantastic, staff friendly, and the store has everything you need from local farms and local artists. They also have live music in the summer! Try it out - you'll be happy you did!

This is a gem! The Grocery items (including, the garlic butter, cream cheese, crackers) and selection of beers and wines were expansive!We got a slice a pizza for the ride which was beyond tasty as we wish would we have got an entire pie. Pizza is a must try!

I had heard so much about this place, so I had to check it out. It has great breakfast and lunch sandwiches, homemade bread, pastries (pies, scones, cookies, cinnamon rolls), and pizza. I had a slice of their thin crust veggie pizza that was delicious. It's like a combination cafe/general store/gift shop. They had some unique Maine crafts, Sheepscot General t-shirts and hats, a nice selection of wines and local craft beer, jams, spices, veggies and fruit (you can pick our own strawberries in season), Amish products, etc. I loved the old-fashioned peanut grinder to make peanut butter. Their small dining area is colorful and quaint. It's a place that I'd definitely go back to when in the area.
