You do not want to be a driver for this company and especially at this location. That goes for CDL or special delivery. The trucks are always loaded out of order. Example your 1st stop will be under your 7th. Or your first stop will be on the last pallet at the back of the truck. Chicken will be on top of produce. Items will be missing for orders. Items will be knowingly damaged and still put on the truck. Your scanner usually doesn’t work. Meaning you have to manually register each item. That could be up to 900 cases. Routes are put in a terrible order almost always. Example you can drive two hours one way and then two more in another direction. Or sent in a different direction just to come back to the same area. Most of the time they can’t send you help. So good luck not violating your DOT hours. You also only get a 10 hour reset after a 14 to 16 hour day of manual labor and driving. Some of the trucks pull to the left and right. The air brakes could go out. Your lift gate doesn’t work properly or it doesn’t even have one. Same for ramps. Deliveries to establishments with unsafe areas are still expected of you. Ice ( in the winter) and grease on walkways. Missing steps on stairs. Narrow stairs that go up or down that you have to navigate with your dolly and stacked items. The establishments will never help you in those situations. You can get stuck in sand at some camps because nobody relays information for the next driver. You will have problems with your work accounts and possibly never get some of them. You will be told about incentives for doing a great job that they say you earned but never get them. You will complain but no one will address your concerns however if you’re not careful with your words and actions they will fire you. Especially Tom (one of the transportation supervisors). People will call out of work because they are over worked and under valued. So if you’re one of the unlucky ones to go in that day you are guaranteed to be overworked (more than you usually are) to pick up what they were supposed to do because saving face with customers is always more important than their drivers. This company should be ashamed on how they treat their employees. Sysco cares about profits only. Don’t work for them and don’t buy from them until they do something about their employees concerns. This is supposed to be the US where we care about people. You get better workers with better conditions. That has been proven. And you would be able to keep drivers longer as well. How some supervisors still have jobs is a surprise to me? But it’s probably because deliveries keep getting made so who cares right?! Do better Sysco.

Would give 0 stars if i could. One of their drivers had parked illegally and left the back open and the truck unattended for at least 30 minutes. I left before the truck did and I was there for that amount of time. I tried to contact them twice through their contact us program. I requested follow up. Nothing happened. They do not care about the safety of others and their goods. Absolutely shockingly terrible

Arrived at 3am with an RDC load and parked on the side of the street until they opened at 6am. Received a door at around 7:30am. It’s 12pm now and I am still waiting on my paperwork. They started unloading at around 10am and it was completed in 45 minutes. I called at number posted on the door and was told the receiver was still checking of the product. Owner Operators stay away.
