Just left from shopping only one register open! Lots of people waiting to cash out. The experienced cashiers are stocking candy bars while people are waiting in line! Unbelievable! Been shopping here for years! No more I’ll head to Brighton. Forcing people to self checkout! Very wrong. . Also manager was bagging not caring! That’s my rant. Probably be ignored but whatever

Their customer service is gone into the toilet. People actively avoid trying to help you, in fact the last time I was there I was trying to ask a question to the woman at the customer service desk I waited for her to be finished with the person in front of me and then I very politely asked her a question she looked at me and turned around and walked away without one word

I used to work here like 8 years ago. DON'T WORK HERE! I'll never forget when Arthur (used to be a manager of Hannaford to go) and Tim (had been there for a long time and jokes about burning the place down) made discriminatory comments about my disability right in front of me. I'm legally disabled and they should have been fired. I'll also never forget when Karen (old AMCS) wouldn't let me go home when I found out my best friend committed suicide. Don't work here. It can be toxic.

It's getting ridiculous how the store is treating the Westbrook Community.
They should know that it's extremely insensitive to have a giant high resolution screen hanging at your eye level showing your whole face and upper body as you check out. Not to mention that it literally flashes light into your eye inches away form it. The screen has writen in a military style font with comically big blinking letters *recording in progress *
These screen would make even Walmart blush.
It's just plain rude that they think so little of the community. I don't care if some people have been stealing, you don't treat paying customers like this.
I'm going to Market basket until they take them down. It's just scummy to subject your customers to that.

What's up with how inconsistent this location is with stir fry, I've gone here twice now between 11-6, once at 12:30 the other time was a different week at 3:00, both times stir fry wasn't available. I've never ever - ever had this kind of an issue with a hannaford. Is this a joke?

This is a nice, well organized store with a wide selection of products. But what impressed me enough to write a review was the service we received at their pharmacy. The pharmacy staff clearly care about their customers, and go above and beyond to help them. I highly recommend the Westbrook Hannaford‘s store and particularly their pharmacy.

This is my favorite Hannaford store to shop at. I can walk there in 15 minutes, and back home in 15-20 minutes, as long as I don't weigh myself down by all of the groceries I get. I go in to buy a few things, and I always get far more than I intended. ? I don't feel like I'm being watched, constantly, as in other stores. I'm not a theif and it kills me when people do that. The staff are always friendly and if I can't find something, they will bring me right to it. The cashiers have always been friendly. The produce is always good looking, and the steak tips in the butchery, are always AMAZING!!! I know the layout of this particular Hannaford store. Some Hannaford's have a completely different layout. So, that's helpful for me. And, when I lost my receipt for the wrong cat food that I bought, one of the manager's was completely wonderful about it. He allowed me to go get the correct cat food, and they just exchanged the correct kind for the incorrect cat food I hadn't opened the wrong cat food bag, so that was a plus. I LOVE THIS HANNAFORD!!!

Been coming here at least twice a week since May and the addition of the kitchen / stir fry section. Every single time their stir fry is never open, advertised hours are M-F 11-7 Sat & Sun 11-6. If you've never had hannaford stir fry, let me tell you.. it's awesome and wrecks anything the local china shop makes. Only once have I actually been able to get stir fry here and at-first I gave the benefit of the doubt. I assumed it just wasn't quite ready to open or start, but on a whim last Friday at like 1pm an older lady was doing stir fry, of course I had some. Yet, once again today closed and it's 11:30. If you can't stick to your advertised hours at least have the decency to put a sign up. All this money spent to renovate and upgrade to a full-blown hannaford location, and then watching, as a consumer, 5 employees always around the kitchen, yet the kitchen to-go bins are mostly bare and always the same boring mashed potatoes, pulled pork, and stomach-churning teriyaki rice chicken (seriously, rotate and change it up none of it tastes good), and no one can man the stir fry despite standing around like they don't know what their task is, is quite a let-down.

I live near the nextriverside st store and have to travel to other stores in other towns due to constant drug use , paraphernalia and homeless population being allowed to completely disregard human safety or courtesy of others. Have found countless needles, with one loaded with drugs in the middle of an aisle..I will continue to shop here regularly just not at certain locations
