Went with my co-workers for lunch here. We've been going for about a week or longer. While waiting for our sandwiches we went over to the liquor section and talked about what bottles we liked. We were not buying any alcohol.After a while one of the chefs yells over to us "are you guys 21" in a rude and loud manner. Two of us are in our mid to late twenties and the other was 19.We weren't buying any alcohol or doing anything wrong. It was very rude to judge all of us as young and ask us to go away from that section of the store "so they won't get in trouble". News flash you don't need to be 21 to walk by the liquor section.I go to breweries and bars all the time and have never experienced rudeness close to this regarding my age. Asking for age is one thing but being rude about it is crossing the line.Even if you're five years old it's not ilgeal to look at a bottle (none of us touched anything alcoholic) and have a discussion about it.Food is good but treating people this way is not acceptable.

I'm here everyday,they got great food,polite staff,decent prices on there food,always got a deal everyday of the week on a food special,(lunch,dinner) there fast,it's always hot,and about one of the only places that respectfully keeps ordering my hard to find cigarettes!marlboro ice,thank you duck pond!

Do not buy gas here something is wrong with their pumps & when brought to their attention they were extremely rude indicating something was wrong with my vehicle. Paid for and pumped gas and my tank was still showing almost empty. Go down the street at another station with no problem.

The breakfast sandwiches here are awesome. It's also a great place to get a quick bite for lunch and some snacks or drinks. They're also a liquor store now! So they've got quite a bit to offer. All the staff inside are friendly and easy to talk to. The gas pumps can suck to get in and out of if you're not used to driving Route 302.

They do a great job at sandwiches in that old-school, classic New England corner-shop style. Good prices, too. Decent selection of beverages to put in the cooler for a lake day; they sometimes have new or different options that others don't. Like many or most of these old places, don't expect updating or even much general cleanliness out front. (Food preparation area looked just fine, spic-n-span, as it is used and cleaned up constantly.) Perhaps kind of like a beloved "dive bar," this is one of those slightly run down corner stores with some genuinely good finds inside.

The 4 stars is for the fried chicken (a little counter inside the store, branded "Chester's.", and the excellent selection of frozen novelties...think Snickers and Twix ice cream bars, and all the favorites the ice cream truck use to have (do ice cream trucks still exist?)My daughter had a party last weekend with a few of her friends, and she wanted fried.chicken and Mac & Cheese for dinner. The fried chicken comes in large meaty chicken breast pieces, not the usual chicken tenders all perfectly sized exactly the same. The breading is crispy and seasoned perfectly. Another surprise and delight we're the potatoes wedges. My daughter was disappointed they didn't have "regular" French fries, but was very pleasantly surprised by the potato wedges...skin on thick cut and breaded in the same batter as chicken and fried. We also tried the Mac & Cheese, and while the kids loved it, I was not a fan. It was orangey and thick and gloppy. The chicken also comes with a choice of dipping sauce, and because we ordered so much chicken, they gave us a selection of sauce sauce they had..."Chester's special sauce" was sort of like a thousand island but a little more tart, and the usual ones like bbq, ranch, sweet & sour, and honey mustard. I would definitely get the friend chicken again!

You would never know it's a restaurant. Cute little hidden gem. They have a great selection of food. It always comes out fresh and delicious.
