This summer I have accompanied my daughter and granddaughter to this facility twice. On both occasions the phone staff, reception staff were rude and unprofessional. On one visit my 6 yo grand daughter had strep symptoms and was very sick. I called to ask what time they were open until ( it was at 6:35).I was told they'd be closing at 7, door would be locked at 6:59. We arrived at 6:50. The informed us immediately when they were closing. Staff and nurse were abrupt & curt. The practitioner was kind to her. He said no need for a strep test, he'd treat her for strep ( another family member had already been treated for it). We were out the door before 7 and they had already locked the door. This week she was seen for a deep cut on her elbow. When called to make sure they did stitches there the staff again rudely said you need to get her soon , we close at 7! At that time it was 5:55. She was seen and PA said oh, glue will be fine, it's in a good area. Her elbow looks horrible, it's completely open, glue gone! Her pediatrician said she'll have a bad scar, can't be stitched now. It needed stitches.. but of course they would be closing in an hour.. get her out! I've had great experiences here over the years but I'm not sure I'll ever return there. Sub par care and rudeness is not acceptable!

The staff at York (health stop in wells, Maine) was excellent. We would definitely recommend them for any non-serious issue.

absolute worst place i have ever tried to go. greeted by an old man at the door that wants to put a sticker on me/ make me put a mask on- & fill out some paperwork. i HAVE A 3rd DEGREE BURN ON BOTH MY KNEES!!!!!! & i demand respect & attention, not some stupid games. that is not how you treat a patient. furthermore- the kennebunk "urgent care".- nothing urgent about it, in fact they said it would be 2 hrs!! i proceeded to the sanford emergency room- & guess what- no emergency there either. after 1hr of waiting i walked out. i'm disgusted by both urgent care facilities and the emergency room .

My husband brought our son in for an eye infection. They gave him antibiotic to put in his eye. The next day after doing everything they said to do his eye looked worse. I called them to see if they would give him a oral antibiotic. They refused without seeing him again. Which would be more time and another copay. Ridiculous! And it was the same nurse who saw him when he came in.

My original doctor left the practice I saw him his last day he was rude to me and didn't even tell me it was his last day.My second experience was better and my experience today was atrocious unprofessional and unacceptable. The receptionists are abrasive and didn't even greet me with a hello they greeted me with "sanitize your hands"I then waited what seemed like 40 minutes for a strange woman to come in.It wasn't even the person I had made the appointment with.No one had the courtesy to tell me that my nurse practitioner had left for the day.I had to see a complete stranger who did not know my history nor even know who I am.A little bedside manner, compassion and manners would go a long way. This place is ugly I hated it and I will never go back!

I came in with the beginning signs of an ear infection, which i get very often and know the feeling of. After telling the doctor my history and that I know my body well and asked for antibiotics preemptively just in case things got worse, he essentially told me he doesn't trust my own judgment and he wouldn't do anything for me. I wasted my time and money trying to do the right thing and take care of my body as things happen to it, and ended up gaining nothing and losing money.

i have a skin rash..so i called York in wells, not wanting to waste their time if they did not have a dermatologist to solve my problem! they encouraged me to come in i spent the most time with the nice lady who does the billing! MY guess they put the nice people and the most time as to figuring out payment! because that was where kindness ended!! lol.. a non person announced my name...no introduction..no kindness shown..and then led me back to a room and only looking at a pc asked questions.. i did not know who she was...a nurse..a doc..or a clerk! yes i thought a clerk but when i asked her ..a nurse! wow no wonder she in not in a hospital and forced facing a pc~ lol she took me into another room with a bed..and told me to wait for either a PA or an emergency MD...i do not trust a PA... so i left! lol....and called my insurer. to complain~ made an appt with a dermatologist in two weeks.. BUt in the meantime..went to CVS for better advice and kindness and solid medical help! so much better than the nurse..and the long wait with one in the clinic..for a PA or an emergency doc

I'm disappointed on every visit. Poor customer service, long wait times and very few services provided. I've been there on more than one occasion only to find that they've decided not to work that day. What's the point?

A company probably shouldn't boast a position of "Loving Kindness if their employees can't deliver on it. I was admitted to their ER because I had a stroke and needed to do a CAT scan and an MRI. After lying in bed for several hours I decided to walk the hall a little bit. I saw my nurse sitting in a room and I decided to ask her a question when another nurse exclaimed that I was not supposed to be in the "'Nurses station" so I started to move to the door. On the way out I passed my nurse who was sitting by the door and asked her when we could expect to see my test results when the nurse who exclaimed "you're not supposed to be in the Nurses station grabbed me by the throat and pushed me out the door. I called the Hospital Administrator's office and told them that I had been harassed by one of their nursees. The Nurse Administrator came to my room and said she would investigate. She came back after speaking to Abby, the nurse who physically pushed me out of the Nurses Station and my Nurse who witnessed it, She concluded that harasment hadn't occurred because it wasn't Abby's intent. Well, it may not have been her intent but the facts are not disputed - she put her hands on my neck and physically pushed me out of the door.Fortunately I had to be transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland because York doesn't have a Neurologist on staff. I received excellent care at Maine Medical Center and will never go back to York Hospital
