Horrible service and attitude. This is not the same practice as it was just 4 years ago. The pricing has increased and the service has gone down hill. They were so difficult today I finally made the decision to change vets. I've been thinking about it for quite some time but the one good vet there kept me, unfortunately she wasn't there this week. I called and found 2 alternatives that were taking on new clients, but wanted to speak to the vet, not the rude office manage Erin to explain the actual situation but wasn't allowed to. I can't believe they let her speak to clients this way, not a good look and then she claims I'm disrespecting her! I suggest going elsewhere if you don't want more aggravation in your life. I know it's not easy working in the veterinary field and have had great experiences with this vet practice in years past, but it's not the same and just not worth it.

Two months ago I received a letter in the mail from Dr. Nolan that they could no longer service our dog, for obvious reasons. The reasons were not obvious to me, so I gave them a call, thinking it might be a mistake. I had to leave a message to be called back. No one called. Several days later I tried calling again, and again was told they'd call me back. Didn't call that time either. So I walked into the office. They put me in a room for 10-15 minutes (waiting for the manager). The manager never came and I had to be somewhere else so I had to leave without knowing the reason for my eviction. Then my dog's prescription needed a refill from Chewy and Post Rd denied the request. I called for the third time. They finally told me I was kicked out because i had "threatened to write a bad review about prices." I can't remember complaining about prices except when 2 years ago they ran a geriatric panel on my dog without my consent and then tacked $200 onto my bill. I never said I'd write a review about it, I just asked for the charge to be removed. Apparently they just enjoy kicking people out of their practice and not telling them why. I would be careful bringing your pets there. They obviously don't handle criticism well.

I brought my dog in for an appointment today. She has something wrong with her leg, has only been walking on 3 legs for days now. Dr Nolan was late for the appointment. Didn’t even acknowledge my dog. Asked why we changed vets. I told him we didn’t like the new vet there. That she’s not good with our animals, she doesn’t even touch them during there appointment. Dr. Nolan then very rudely said “ you need to find another vet, I’m not available for people that critiques my Colleagues. You can leave now.” Dr. Nolan did even look at my hurt dog. He asked when we changed vets, so I answered honestly.. Dr Nolan place was father away then the vet we usually see. So obviously somethings not right if we changed our place to a father away place. I wasn’t rude about it. Did call the Vet by name or anything. My dog is still hurt an I’m calling all the vet places where I live trying to get an appointment ASAP. He didn’t care that my animal was going to suffer more cause of his tantrum. Vets are suppose to care about animals, obviously he doesn’t if he’d let one suffer longer then Necessary. I plan to tell everyone I know what happened today to my Dog. People need to know who there entrusting there animals too!

The most caring group of people we’ve ever met! We are vacationing in Maine and our Teddy ? hurt his leg ! They took us right in , examined him throughly and determined what was up! They even said if we needed them at any point to just call! Thankfully the anti-inflammatory meds given , kicked in within 3 hours and our little man was walking without a limp! He’s been resting, eating and taking his meds! We are so very thankful for the amazing care given to Teddy! Thank you so so very much for making us feel welcome and making our worries go away knowing you took the time to take care him …thank you Dr! And of course for the extra cookies too lolHe’s on the mend ! So far ✔️?The Trudeau’sNH

Post Road vet has been wonderful with the care of all our pets, and has shown a great deal of compassion and care with our dog Iris as she is currently battling cancer. We are really appreciative of Dr. Macdonald, Steph, and all of the staff at Post Road Vet.

I brought my dog here for an abscess on his face, they diagnosed him with a tooth abscess and said I needed to do the dental surgery estimated at 900-1600 , I agreed as they said that was the only course of action. They charge me 160 for the diagnosis sent me home with anti-inflammatories and gave me a date for the surgery. On the surgery date I dropped him off only to get a call 3-4 hours later stating that they aren't going to pull the tooth or do the surgery as the tooth was still healthy saying I could get the dog at 130 when he wakes up, when I arrived to get him they brought the bill (me expecting 2-400 as they didn't do the surgery)out for $1090 stating they cleaned his teeth and for the meds used, having also not taken care of the abscess I brought him in for in the first place nor did they identify what caused the abscess or what it was. I don't mind spending money on my animals that's part of being a pet owner but when a vet falsely tells you the dog needs this to take care of the abscess goes in for the surgery doesnt do it and still charges you $1090 almost half way between the estimated amount for the entire procedure? Will no longer be bringing animals here as a tech even informed me after asking if I could get a partial refund or take care of the original abscess that the doctor would call and figure it out the next day, they called and just went over the receipt stating they couldn't do anything and that they didn't want to pull a healthy tooth, then why recommend this in the first place?
