Loved this store. I was impressed with the amount and variety of materials that were offered. Tom was very warm and very knowledgeable. He was straightforward and the kind of person I trust. I'm currently working on a decorating project and look forward to doing business with him.

For starters, this store needs to get with the times. They don't have email or an answering machine; best option is to fax (who has a fax anymore)? The co-owner (the son) seems to take great pride in this. Well guess what? It's not about you bucking this 'internet trend', it's about how easy it is for your customers to do business with you - and your customers want to be able to leave a voicemail or send an email. Too bad the guy will never see this review as I'm sure the concept of Yelp would blow his mind. When I asked questions about the product and the install process, the son got mad at me, and basically started barking at me that I shouldn't do online research, he's not an 'online guy', and if I didn't trust him or his installers I should take my business elsewhere - which is exactly what I did. He stormed off after this little rant, and I was embarrassed and felt attacked. His father is the nicest man, but he gave me bad info about the product on my first visit, so I did some more online research. Sorry, but if I'm about to spend thousands of dollars on new floors, I want to be sure I'm comfortable with the product and the installers, and expect someone to answer by basic questions. What a minute, actually, I'm not sorry at all! The owner (the son) was very arrogant and kept telling me they'd been in business 60 years and that's because they're good people. Maybe so! But if he's going to verbally attack me for asking basic questions before I make the purchase, what's going to happen if something goes wrong?? I really doubt this place will be in business for another 6 years (forget 60) because this guy is rude and unprofessional.
