Lovely one night stay in a clean dog friendly room. Nice staff and such a clean place. 4 stars due to very bright at night due to all the porch lights on and not the most comfy bed. Would stay again!!!

My daughter and I (along with our pup) had a great stay at Drake's Island Resort. We stayed in a cottage that was super clean, super well appointed with all the comforts one would receive at a hotel. Having a small kitchen/fridge, etc., was great given we ended up spending more time in the room vs. getting out and about. Chelsea, manager extraordinaire was AMAZING. So easy to get in touch with (when I forgot my hairdryer - one magically appeared) and she was very thoughtful and kind. I chose this resort because it is insanely dog friendly - it was just so nice to walk the property and let my pup get all his sniffs. He definitely enjoyed himself. Also, Drake's Island Beach is beyond gorgeous and magical even on a cloudy, windy, drizzly day. Thank you!

Cozy and comfortable cottage. Great area in Wells. Very close to Drake's Island Beach. Super friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. And being able to bring our furbabies was an added bonus.

Best place to stay in Maine. Pet friendly and just a short drive to the ocean!! Love this place. Second year and plan on going back. Kitchen is fully equipped with all you need if you want to stay in to eat and plenty of room for my husband and our two labs.

Love Drakes Island Resort. And they love our dogs! Very dog friendly. We always rent a cottage. Always clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook just about anything. They have a great pool and the beach is only a mile away. Can’t say enough about this place.

Everything was just perfect. The bed was super comfy, the room was nicely decorated and spacious, quality linen &towels and premises are super clean. Everything to make are stay enjoyable was done. Will definitly come back. Our dog loved it too. 5 barks from him

Drake's Island Resort was wonderful. We stayed in a large room that included two beds, a sofa, 2 chairs and a table. The room was roomy and clean. The pool is gorgeous with all types of seating available. The location is close to many restaurants and attractions. We found the wifi hard to connect to in the room but could easily connect at the pool. We embraced the unplugged time and relaxed reading books.

My friend and I stayed here at the beginning of their "off season" in September so prices were very reasonable. Brought my dog and only had to pay an additional $10/night, also very reasonable. At first I was concerned about the lack of grassy area and sidewalks to walk my dog but we found a nice walk around the property while we were there (for the dog). Our room was comfortable with plenty of floor space, a couch and a good sized table, small fridge & microwave oven. We really didn't lack for anything except for WIFI which didn't work inside our motel room which made it challenging to keep up with my job. Found the location to be convenient to everything we wanted to do while there and LOVED that my dog was allowed to stay in room while we went out for dinner or on a day it was too hot to have him in the car without us. Would stay again if willing to not have WIFI in my room. The lack of WIFI is the only reason I gave it a 4* review. Otherwise, room was neat & clean, staff friendly and it was obvious the property was well cared for.

Great price for a sparklingly clean, nicely appointed room in a conveniently located and well-maintained property. The desk staff shifted my reservation by a day when my travel plans had to be adjusted due to Hurricane Lee. Very comfortable bed. The blinds let in quite a bit of light, so it would be worth bringing an eye cover for sounder sleep.

Drakes Island Resort offers clean rooms that are stocked with supplies to make you feel more comfortable during your stay. They offered coffee makers in each room, refrigerator, and microwave. They offered amenities such as cups, shampoo and conditioner, and really nice bar soap, too. The rooms are quaint. The king bed was very comfortable. The extra large pillows were very plush. The staff is friendly and courteous. We enjoyed the easy after-hours check-in. The area is very nice and we felt safe, even at night. The pictures we took were in the morning, sorry for the unmade bed. Adorable place and super dog friendly. Very clean, very friendly. We stayed in the motel room section and the walls were paper thin. Heard everything the neighbors said, every cough, everything!! Bring your own shampoo. Adorable and convenient. Great location!

Chelsey is an amazing host! The resort was central to both food, shops, and the ocean (where parking was pretty easy!). Chelsey texted us when the room was ready (early too!) and was so knowledgeable about good food to fit my husband's dietary needs. When we arrived we went right to the perfect temperature pool to begin unwinding. The rooms were clean, had great AC, and a larger mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The beds were comfy and despite being nearer to the road I didn't notice road noises with the AC on (and I'm a country gal)! I purchased some yogurt for breakfast and didn't have a spoon, Chelsey had some handy! There are also grills around the property for use too.The best part is this place is SUPER dog friendly! I regret that we didn't bring our pups this round as they love the ocean. What a great place! This wasn't a loud party area either, which we appreciated.Nearby activities: Ocean, Rachel Carson Preserve, Laughlin Farms, Antiquing....

Fun, Clean, and friendly. We wanted a place that was dog friendly as our big boy isn’t easily allowed at too many places. He was welcomed and happy and we where quite pleased as well. We will visit again. Thank you!
