Can I give it no stars? I was visiting sick parents in Maine. I live 142 miles away and my car was making a funny noise on the way up. I was going to be there for several days. \"Call Brown's\", my father said when I arrived. I called and left a message. They never called back. Then I emailed from their website and again explained the situation and got no response whatsoever. They certainly didn't care about someone having car troubles.

Visited Ogunquit for the first time on June 14th and wound up with a screw in the rear tire on the 15th so had to look up nearest repair shop which happened to be Brown's about 5 minutes from where we were staying. I took the tire off an put one of those horrible donuts on and drove over to their shop to drop the car off. If I had known they were gonna be done as fast as they were I would have just waited for my car. They called me less than 20 minutes later. Very fast work. I would have given them a 5 star rating but I thought $40 was a little high to plug a tire. I attributed that to having out of state tags. It costs half of that in my area in PA. I would go back if need be but I'd probably ask for the cost first.

My husband, son, and I came up to Ogunquit for our annual November getaway and ended up losing the starter in my Honda CR-V midway through the week. AAA towed us to Brown's at our request since I had to choose a service station and I saw some good reviews. The tow truck driver added his endorsement so I felt reasonably safe. Instead, the service was beyond expectation. The tow truck could only take one of us, so I called two taxis as a backup for my husband and son who were down the road a mile. When the taxis didn't show up, Bob offered to drive me to go pick them up himself. They worked all day to try and finish the job but it proved to be extensive, so they offered to drive us to our hotel and pick us up in the morning since they knew taxis were hard to come by! As promised, we were picked up in the morning, and I was shocked to find the final price of the job much lower than I expected. These guys went above and beyond for us and saved our vacation. They are honest, hard-working, and trustworthy. So glad we chose them!

My car had been leaking oil and I didn't know it! I had just arrived and needed my car looked at ASAP. He helped us fix the problem and took us on short notice on a holiday weekend! It could've been much worse. Thank you so much!

The owner might be a decent mechanic but has a lot to learn in how he treats his customers. He will literally go off on you for not calling him back immediately. If he needed an answer quickly, he could have picked up the phone and called. I decided not to go through with the work, and told him I would pick the car next time I am back in town. So when I called him to pick the car 2 weeks later, he screams at me and charges me $200 to get my car. Again, if he needed the car picked up sooner, JUST CALL ME!!. He was just getting even with me as I chose not to have the work done as the cost was higher than the value of the car. I had work done there a few times in the past but WILL NEVER GO BACK. I cant believe he stays in business with the way he treats his customers.
