I placed the order on Thursday and no one contacted me. I went to the store around noon on Friday and there was confusion about my order. They finally gave me what I paid for. It seems the turnover rate at the Wells ME store is very high and no one really seems to care anymore. I have been a customer there for over seven years yet every time I check out at the register people say “do you have a phone number with us? You think they would recognize me and say “What is your phone number again?” Apparently, there is no good customer acknowledgment, or service at this store anymore :-(

I was the first customer there this morning and walked past 2 employees who were just standing there chatting with each other, neither asked if I needed help finding anything. I proceeded to get what I needed then got to the counter to find the employees had vanished. I stood there for a solid 5 minutes while a line formed behind me. No one came, there's no bell to ring to get anyone's attention, so I left my stuff on the counter and headed elsewhere. Today was the last straw. Every time I go there, I leave disappointed and I swear I'll never EVER go back there again.

Bought 5 bags of Mulch at register. Ray was very helpful. Came back in to tell him the pallet was empty. He sent me out back with vehicle to get some from George, who drives right past me and says come back out front again to get it, ok that's was fine til he spent atleast another 10 minutes rearranging pallets expecting me to wait til he's done instead of just giving me my stuff. Putting it in a spot I can't just load from now would have to walk 15 feet minimum each way with the bags, cmon customer service and common sense goes along way George.

Considering this isn't a huge store it's extremely well stocked with all kinds of hardware good. I needed an O-Ring for a water filter and they had a good selection including what I needed.

Terrible way to conduct business. Advertising as a propane refill station, but won't refill the most common 20lb tank out there, Blue Rhino. Pathetic.

I have worked with Rachel Ray, Paint Specialist at Aubuchon Hardware in Wells Maine. If you want an expert in the paint business that knows her product, she is your go to gal. I was preparing to paint a large bedroom in an older home with a painted wall that had not been updated in years. Rachel recommended the right Benjamin Moore paint, the right paint brushes, and gave me some awesome tips to do the job. Oh, did I mention she is awesome to work with...great personality with plenty of enthusiasm and encouragement for a novice painter. I will never go to another Aubuchon Hardware store nor anyone but Rachel to get all my painting jobs done. I could go on but then I will probably end up waiting in a long line behind other satisfied customers that Rachel has serviced!! Another tip from Rachel....Aura paint is awesome for full coverage and a smooth finish! Thank you Rachel. Debbie

Absolutely a great store! We have purchased hundreds and dollars of Ben Moore paint and paint supplies there. The main reason we do so is Rachel who is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She never fails to give in depth recommendations and will tell you honestly whether she feels one product works better than another for a particular application or even if it is something with which she is not familiar yet. I drive 25 minutes to go to this store, past at least four other stores. They have a great variety of other hardware supplies. Absolutely worth the trip to seek Rachel’s help with paint etc.
