Only 2 registers open with long lines and the 10 items or less one. I was in line at the express one and it was extremely slow. 3/4 of my time was waiting. They need a self checkout option.

I went in to drop off a package for FedEx. it was a very simple transaction. it was already packaged and labeled. they were unable to provide me with a receipt. and they refuse to return my package which contains a $1,300 item that I am responsible for. without a package and without a receipt for the shipment, Shaw's effectively left me with a $1,300 bill to pay back.
I ended up having to call the Waterville PD for assistance in obtaining an acceptable receipt.
The manager who was "helping" me was rude, sarcastic, and clearly unhappy with his employment situation.
I have not frequented the Shaw's facility in the past, and after today's experience I don't see myself coming in again.
I warn all in everyone to stay away and pick literally any other supermarket or food shop that you can to meet your needs.

No express lane OR self checkout!!! Yikes!!!! Stood in line for way longer than expected at 0830 to purchase to pharmacy items. Almost late to work?

An overall great experience. The organic sections are very well stocked. The only place that carries knead bread.

I love shaws but can’t stand that this particular shaws location has no self checkout. It wouldn’t bother me if they would at least open more registers. However every time I’m there, the lines are very long because they only have a couple registers open. On occasions I’ve literally had to put stuff back and leave because of the lines and went to shop at hannaford instead. 90% of the time I end up checking out at the service desk or the pharmacy so I don’t have to wait in long lines with just a handful of items in a basket. Please put in a few self checkouts or open up more registers so that people can get in and out in a more reasonable time.

I find the selection better than the Hannaford’s in town. Consistently the worst bagging experiences however. Today the girl just threw my meat on top of my waffles and produce. Half of my groceries she haphazardly chucked in the carriage of already bagged groceries. It’s a consistent issue, and I’d almost rather no baggers and more cashiers at this point. To wait in a line 3 to 4 people deep every time you shop and then have the bagger just shove items into bags (extremely slowly I might add) is a bit ridiculous. Either train them how to bag groceries or install self checkouts so it’s a non issue.

5:30 on a weekday. Stop in after work and you get 2 cashiers…. At rush hour commute?? And no self check out so you got to wait and wait. And it is way more expensive than Hannaford. Not going back
