This place is absolutely fabulous! Every time my husband and I go to visit Waterville we stay here. The rooms are very well maintained they're clean, well stocked, and the owner is quite Pleasant very nice man! If you need an inexpensive clean quiet comfortable place to stay I suggest checking these guys out they are fabulous.

The room was dated but comfortable. I just needed a room to sleep in, but I feel the price was a bit steep considering the size and quality of the room. The woman at check-in was not especially friendly, but she wasn't rude either. She was just a matter-of-fact person. The one thing I appreciated is the bank of security monitors in the lobby. It let me sleep a little more soundly.

Absolutely horrible place to stay. Came last nite, paid for room and all was good. Woke up to a cockroach crawling on my foot in the bathroom. Mentioned it to front desk and got a 25% refund. Went to use my debit card to buy a few things at store and my card is missing $115.50. Toilet did not flush when we arrived, we figured oh well and did not use it except once. I called front desk and apparently owner/ managers are gone and they don't know return date. Said that we broke the bowl of the toilet so I was charged all that $. The bowl wasn't broken at all because if it was water would've spilled everywhere. They scammed me for $115.50. I will ve reporting them to the board of health etc.

The room was paid for 3 people to stay. As soon as I made it to the room, the woman at the front desk rang the landline and she said someone reported and saw 3 people that went into my room and said that we only paid for two. She then checks the computer and realizes she has made a mistake. You would think she would check her computer before making accusations.Moving along.Later that evening, I decided to take a shower to find that there's next to no water pressure. When I decided to go to bed, I noticed one of the maids left a blue car air freshener on the left bed post. Clearly, whoever had stayed in the room before us didn't smell very good. I am pretty sure they managed to forget to change the bedding. To top things off, I expected a complimentary breakfast at 7am as noted on the website. When I went to the office to grab coffee and food, I was told that there was no breakfast and that there's coffee in the rooms. I would have drank it if the inside of the coffee machine was clean. There was grossness all inside of it.

DO NOT STAY HEREEspecially if you have kids who open/look/touch everythingI literally thought we were on a hidden camera show it was SO BAD.The staff were polite and professional, but the facility was SO BAD. We stayed in Room 137 in the adjacent building.-Called ahead and confirmed 2AM check in day before- arrived and had to ring doorbell several times and told couldn't check in (after a 6 hour drive with cranky family in tow)- Eventually the man relented after seeing my ID and let me in. . .he made sure to tell me that late check ins hadn't been allowed since 2 years previously.- Even though there was another entrance to the building and ample parking facing the main entrance) Told explicitly to park along side of building where there was limited parking-- there was a large deep wet puddle blocking doorway entrance and cigarette smelling garbage receptacle- directly blocking entrance to building resulting in wet shoes and wet smelly child.- strange "mewing" sound, a bird? repeatedly from 2AM- 4AM- Spiders hanging down from light fixtures in hallway (and ceiling/fixtures in room) they scurried when lights of room turned on.-musty smelling room/Damp feeling sheets & linens- visibly dirty carpet-given room directly by doorway/vending machines(loud operation throughout the night)- loud arguing and noises from adjacent rooms throughout 2AM-5AM- people directly outside our window arguing loudly- car doors repeatedly opened and slammed directly outside window.- Dog barking loudly at 2AM till about 3AM- at 5AM somebody in the building with my same wake up alarm ring started repeatedly snoozing their alarm for 30 min continuously.- obnoxious brightly flashing light on microwave- VERY LOUD construction noise beginning promptly at 8AMReally, so bad, I am still expecting a "You're on hidden camera tv show" call

The desk attendants were very nice. The motel is a dump. Holes in bedspreads, stains on sheets, long-term tenants smoking and arguing. The bed was actually comfortable after stripping off everything that wasn't clean. Hotels in this area are so expensive. They really could do a better business. Spend an additional $50 and sleep somewhere else.

On a summer Friday night in Maine most motels are booked even when charging $300 to $400 or more. Even the budget hotel like this older property can charge $200 and still get booked up. This is not a $200 hotel by any stretch. A normal fair price should be $60 to $80 in my view. The room was smaller than average but had microwave fridge and desk. Bed was comfortable and property was quiet the night I stayed. Shout out to manager for bringing me ice. That was appreciated for sure.

We chose this hotel because several weeks ago, we stayed for several days when visiting Maine, the accommodations at that time were limited but acceptable, the cleaning staff was very accommodating and thorough and we had no qualms regarding tipping. However we recently went back for a funeral and stayed again, once in the room we found it to be very unclean and the bathroom was downright gross. Given the amount of traveling and the lateness of the day & the increased cost ($30 more- no refunds) for the same type of room we cleaned everything ourselves and left immediately upon awaking (the shower was and therefore not an option). Very disappointing experience and we will not be staying there again.Tami Surdyka

Rooms: Clean not very spacious or roomy feeling though.
Nearby activities: TJ's pool hall, shopping centers, KFC taco bell if you want to eat, Dunkin donuts right across street!
Safety: It's ? safe!
Walkability: Definitely in good walking distance of numerous different things to do! Excellent 10++++
Food & drinks: Can get food& drinks within waking distance so no problems there at all!
Noteworthy details: Hotel is great value for what you get, it's not gonna break you on pricing, clean and everything but no amenities included here, for example no pool, no exercise/gym room if any kind here, nothing like that is all!

Awful, service,price and tried calling from Portland all the way to front door of place, woman at front desk almost seemed happy we didn't take it,turns out we were happy leaving too
