Bixby's is a local chocolate shop with a few locations in Maine. This cafe is in the Waterville Creates building near the opera house and the Maine Film Center. We got blueberry filled truffles and solid chocolates shaped like butterflies, and both were good. We didn't try the hot drinks, but it looks like there are lots of good options. The folks working here were able to tell us which chocolates were vegan, and there were lots of choices.

The coffee they have is delicious and the male a proper latte! Pastry and chocolate is also delicious. Staff was very friendly and kind. Love that they are open till 6 unlike other coffee places in downtown, so you can get a late afternoon coffee fix.

A hidden gem in Waterville. I had a hard time finding this cafe and finally called the company to find out about location and hours. It is located inside the Paul J. Schupf Art Center. The building in modern and airy. The cafe is on the first floor with windows overlooking a pocket park with flowering trees. I picked up some chocolate, a cappuccino and two really cute cards. See the photo I posted. I definitely will be coming back.

Artisanal ambrosia. Bixby Chocolate Café is an asset to downtown Waterville.
