What an amazing find during our drive through Western Maine! This is a self-service little farm/sugar stand with lots of goodies, all coming from Colonial Hill Farm, which is adjacent to it. They had such a great variety of items, from fresh eggs, to freshly baked bread, and plenty of maple syrup (and maple syrup derived products!) from the trees right on the farm. The shack itself is also extremely adorable, right out of a movie. Being self-serve, we were concerned because we didn't have any cash with us to leave behind and pay for the items, but once we went in we found out they accept payment via Venmo! Also, you MUST try their donuts. They make them fresh every morning and they are the best donuts we've ever had. It was like a mixture between a biscuit and a donut. At $2 each or $20 for a dozen, they were best snack during our drive. I loved this place and cannot wait to come back!

Took a drive out to Colonial Hill Farm on Maine Maple Syrup Sunday (the last Sunday in March). Despite the rain, it was worth it! All the maple products are produced on site, and if you get there early enough, they have a variety from light to dark. Seth was even kind enough to give the kids a quick lesson on the art of maple sugar making. Fun fact: It takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup.

Miranda thank you for the best maple syrup I have ever had. It was absolutely delicious. Never had the real McCoy so this is such a treat. Denise and Brad Heil

We’ve visited the sugar shack a few times recently. The syrup is AMAZING! We made French toast using the syrup and farm fresh eggs that we also purchased! So good!
