I want to sincerely thank sales consultant Layne Westrich for taking time out of his day to show me Subaru’s lineup as we start investigating moving into a Crosstrek. Despite being from out of state and being up front about not looking to buy, Layne went out of his way to answer all my questions. The experience was informative and positive and if we had the ability to buy now, we would’ve been happy to give our business to Stanley Subaru. Thanks for a great experience!

We were 15 hours from home, almost to Acadia, when our wheel started to make a very worrisome noise. Stanley Subaru squeezed us in to the express service lane at the very end of their day, confirmed our suspicion that our bearings were shot, and said they would stay late to replace our wheel hub. Then they worked so fast that they were done before closing! Absolutely incredible service, and Becky at the front desk handled everything with humor and aplomb. This might be the best automotive service we've ever gotten anywhere. Thank you for saving our vacation, Stanley Subaru technicians and Becky!

Like many other reviewers, we were on our way to Acadia and almost there when the tire light in my Forester came on (the Saturday of Memorial Day). We also had our 2 dogs with us. They took us right in and promptly found a nail in the sidewall along with another issue. While we waited, our boys got so much love, many pats, treats, and water. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for.
We were staying for the week so they ordered a new tire for us, and since the other issue couldn't be resolved until Tuesday, they offered us the Furry Forester loaner (which was brand new!) for the weekend. When my tire came in and was installed, they rediagnosed the other issue and let us know it was safe to drive and that it was something we could get taken of when we got home.
I can't thank Wen enough for all she did for us and for everyone who came together to keep our trip on track and get us back home safe and sound. What a gem this dealership is.

Absolutely not. They do not check out their vehicles fully before re selling! My partner and I bought a vehicle there and on the second time it was driven it died in the middle of the road which led to a very dangerous situation for the pets we had in the car at the time and created a hazard at an intersection. This wasn’t a junky, older, cheap car either. The sales person had the audacity to suggest that this was suspicious like we must have done something to it. It’s been three days since purchase, and it is under warranty so they had to tow it back to the shop and the result was that they, “can’t find anything wrong.” They refuse to take it back so now we have an unreliable vehicle we are financing because they refuse to stand by what they sold us and it’s our problem now. So slimy.

Having been in the pre owned auto business for over 30 years myself, it always seems a little strange to be on the other side of the desk when I am the customer purchasing a new vehicle. We chose Stanley Subaru as the dealership to trade our 2021 Subaru Forester, and purchase a new Forester for my wife Nicole.
Right from the start, Kevin Townsend the GM, was responsive , professional, and quick to move the process along. Once we settled on numbers, we set an appointment for purchase. We dealt with Melissa Clark in sales to handle the delivery. Melissa has a great personality. She is professional and knowledgeable .Our experience in the F&I office with Darren was equally good...explaining all options without pressure.
Thank you Stanley Subaru for an excellent experience! I highly recommend Stanley Subaru for you next new Subaru purchase!

My boyfriend and I went to Stanley to get a new vehicle after having a terrible experience at a different dealership. Our experience was beyond amazing at Stanley; from the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt welcomed. Bill was our salesperson and was so friendly and helpful. We were worried that due to our limited credit history that we wouldn’t get approved for anything, but once Bill spoke to the GM Kevin, Kevin picked us out the perfect vehicle for us before even meeting us. He then came out and introduced himself and was able to get us approved for the perfect vehicle to start a family. Everyone at Stanley was friendly, helpful, and welcoming; it was the best experience I have had while buying a vehicle. We appreciate everything that they did for us at Stanley and not only will I never go to another dealership to buy a vehicle again, we will encourage friends and family to visit Stanley.

Update: 10/29/23 - discovered that Will, the tech who inspected my car, stole an item from my vehicle. These really are the worst people on the planet. Thank god for Robert Card.
I was sold a defective product that was overpriced and under-maintained. Beware when buying any used vehicle here. Check all engine liquid levels. They tried to sell me a car with extremely low antifreeze. Staff is unpleasant, many frowns, and squinty eyes. Typical Mainer pigs at work.

We were on vacation at the Park and our Forester suddenly lit up--all the warning lights came on. Some were steady, some were flashing, flickering...it didn't look good! Found Stanley Subaru with a quick search and drove over, only 5 miles from our B&B. They immediately knew the cause (thermostat), our Subaru was just past warranty, but maybe they could swing a deal because we weren't far past it, and here's a loaner--the technician, who was standing nearby said he could come in next day, on Saturday, (his day off) and fix it, said it wouldn't take a more than a couple of hours. Holy cow, okay! So we had a 2023 Outback loaner for the day and the next morning we got a call, our car is fixed! We went over and swapped back to our car. And then the Service Manager told us that she was able to get it done for next to nothing, we owed them $4. Four bucks. Couldn't believe it. They were very nice, extremely helpful people from start to finish. Service Associate, Service Manager and the Technician--couldn't have been nicer. If we get another Subaru, which seems likely, (this is our 5th), we'll probably drive 3 hours to Ellsworth to get it.

Husband and I were 14 hours away from home; visiting the harbor. We were in a pinch and our key fob battery was dying on our Subaru. We popped in and out of here, they were so kind and generous. This place was awesome and I would highly recommend to anyone.
