BUYER BEWARE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS CHARGED TWICE
Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had with a paint store.
First off, DO NOT purchase ANYTHING for online pickup. They will charge you twice. Oh! And you need the card you purchased the order with. Even if you have a picture of your ID and the confirmation email with the confirmation order- at least, Matt, the store manager didn’t. The woman at the front was trying to help, and he was talking over her. So he wasn’t just rude to me, he’s rude to his employees in front of customers- which makes me wonder how he speaks to them in private.
Anyway, this means, if you’re driving up from somewhere that’s 40+ minutes away, you’ll have to drive BACK home, just to turn around a few hours later to pick up the paint. Because they’ve already charged your account the first time when you order online.
After coming back, I had to wait for my mother to get out of work (she has a broken hip, and is elderly- this is the last thing she needed after getting out of an 8hr shift) so she could come up with me to get the paint, because Matt didn’t believe that I was me, since the pickup was under my name not hers. I was just trying to prevent her from coming to the store because it’s such a drive and it really hurts her to be in the car. I would have tried to explain, but I’ll admit that I got absolutely animated after being refused the order the first time.
After we drove there yesterday, the young woman at the cash register clearly didn’t believe us that it had charged her card, even though we showed her the bank statement. So, she had to have ran my mom’s card through the computer system.
Which means, when she woke up today her bank account was as negative $5. This is my ELDERLY mother I’m talking about. She relies on the money in her account especially since she’s on a fixed income.
She called the store today, and Matt answered the phone- the manager who started all of this by not believing the confirmation email. So I guess we’ll see. Because this means that my mother was charged $1260 for a $630 order.
Matt, it’s in your hands now I guess. Good luck. I know we’ll never be back in your store. I just hope that you can make it right. I’ll absolutely be telling everyone I know to avoid you and your store like the plague.

I’ve had great experiences with two other customer service reps here. The manager especially has been great to work with. The girl we’ve seen there the past few visits has been dismissive and rude. She would not help when we explained that we believed she made the wrong paint for us. She actually blamed us for using an employee discount even though it was attached to our own separate profile. And when we came back to purchase ceiling paint she must’ve recognized us because she made eye contact and seemingly purposefully never acknowledged us while we stood at the register 5 feet away ready to check out for exactly 10 minutes before walking out and going to Brunswick instead.

Excellent customer service, great deals on premium paints and supplies, and a squared away store. I’ll keep going back to S-W instead of the big home goods stores.
