“The hot food bar is always worth a gander. It's simple fare, but every once in a while there will be a real knock-out dish on offer. As a grocery store, it does the job; if you can't find what you're looking for, you probably didn't actually NEED it. It's Locally run and Employee owned, so your money goes into pockets of people in the Island. Good booze selection, nice smattering of local products such as 44 North Coffee, Cold Water Seafood smoked mussels, though I miss being able to pick up Tinder Hearth bread at Burnt Cove. And while I'm chasing the vapors of nostalgia, I also miss the DVD rental at the deli counter; it's a small tragedy to see it gone. I'm partial to Burnt Cove over the Galley (no offense to the fine folks there) and it sure beats driving to Blue Hill.”
“A small wholesome store. They did not have the sugary unhealthy, mass produced cereal I wanted, but that does not earn them any less of a rating, because what they do have is what the area seems to thrive on.”
