I live in Pittsfield, M.A., and am serviced by one of their satellite offices. I needed repairs done on my furnace. A gentleman by the name Ron, I don't know his last name, did the work on my furnace. Just about everything was a pain, including ending up with the wrong part being supplied.Ron did a fantastic job. He handled each part professionally and kept his cool even when I would have been throwing things. It took two trips to complete the repair, with an hour each way each time for him. He talked me through every step so I would know what was happening.VERY impressed.

I have delivery service for K1 heating fuel and the men are very cordial, always have a smile and are always neatly dressed. I also had propane tanks installed for generator hookup and the technicians respected my property, were also very friendly, cordial and neatly dressed. I am very pleased with the service(s) Dead River provides.

if I can provide zero I will. This company has provided us the hassle of a lifetime. We were offer for a service plan. pay 300 and you get to be under their service. we had a service schedule yesterday. the guy was here for 3 hours. mind you our furnace is 2 yrs old and we didn't had no issues till this service thing that was offered to us and we PAID for. then the guy started doing all sorts of work and then I realize he was struggling on turning on our hot water. HE run our water twice full blast to get the hot water running. first attempt, can't get it running second attempt he said "all good" mind you he was looking for manuals and stuff which he expect to be there but there wasn't a manual and we expect them to know, we are under them . 5 pm came. no hot water. we called 3 times in spand of 3 hours. took us to personally take it to social media just to get a response. guy came and said " it just needed a reset" I took a shower and the water was super duper hot. I was like maybe it was because it was reset? we didn't use it after yesterday. now came 5 pm. no hot water. error and no hot water. needed to get reset my husband had to reset again to get hot water. MIND you. we didn't had to do that before they came. now we have a broken furnace which need a reset everyday because of their incompetency. calling now and its almost an hour no service came again! this is the most horrible experience ever. the worst company to be with. specially you pay them just to break your new furnace.

Dead River owns my underground tank, Therefore I am forced to by propane from them at a top tier price and I learned to live with that. What I didn't like was the fact that they came to my property and did a corrosion test on THEIR TANK and sent me a $120.00 bill for it. If I owned the tank, I would have no problem with that but why am I paying them to test their own tank? Am I wrong?

Had a gentleman come out to repair an issue with our furnace (hydrostat). The serviceman said the issue was resolved. A few weeks later, we had a separate serviceman come out to clean our furnace. Upon arrival, he informed us we needed a NEW hydrostat as the other one wasn't working. Have called DeadRiver local office two times trying to get this issue resolved. Both times they said they would call me back and have not. Very frustrating experience to say the least.

I've called twice today and the people who answer the phone made unnecessary and somewhat belittling/off-putting comments both times. They need better CSR training!! Prior experiences with them had me navigating extremely poor interdepartmental communication which resulted in unnecessary expenditure in my part. Luckily, "******" heard my complaints and gave me some service credit to help compensate for my expense. That being said, overall, they are ok. Not the greatest, but eventually, IF you keep trying, you might find someone there who will treat you with respect and actually help.

I ordered fuel about 10 days ago with per gallon price of $4.72. I agreed to the delivery at my Holyoke address. I was then asked by a less-than-helpful service associate how much oil I had in my tank. I replied half full. A week and a half later, I got my delivery for $567 per gallon. When I protested, I got no recourse. This long-time Custer is going elsewhere. Terrible company!

I had a bad first impression but Cody and Andrea have been very responsive and helpful recently. I will have one more update after my current servicing request is fulfilled, but at this time I am much more confident that my heating needs are in good hands.

Dead River overfilled my tank back in December of 2021 and still to this date have not reimbursed me for the clean up I had to pay for the lost of rent from the tenant I had staying there and the damage to the property. Stay far away, the customer service is dreadful, you won't hear back on anything in a timely manner, and if they make a mistake they will do anything but own it and make you whole again. I had to have a separate company come out several times to get the smell and mess fixed.

I can accept that people make mistakes, we’re all human and stuff happens. But I am astounded at this company’s inability to take accountability for overfilling a tank and refusing to reimburse or fix what they did. What an absolute nightmare. Rangeley residents, do not waste your valuable time or money trusting these guys with anything.
