In general I think it is important to give business to the USPS to support it, instead of private delivery companies like UPS & FedEx, but I was pretty disappointed by this USPS location. The hours list this post office as opening at 8:00 AM, but I went at 8:45 AM on a weekday and the window was closed. The woman working there said she just got there and would not be opening the window for another 20-30 minutes. This was a major disappointment and inconvenience for me and several other customers who would have to make a return trip for when the employees decided they wanted to open the post office.

The counter seems to often be closed even though the doors are open. If you can’t use the automated machine for mailing, don’t bother coming to this office - go directly to Forest Ave.

I do think the reviews are a little misleading, due to people leaving bad reviews for the mail carriers on the post office itself. My experience here was great. The woman working the front desk was nice to me, had a good conversation, and helped explain how to ship what I was trying to ship. All I can ask for really.

I received great service at this branch location on 12/11/23 at about 3 pm. As expected, the line was long with many people like me sending holiday packages. The two women working the counter were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and the line moved along as expected two weeks before Christmas. Thank you, ladies!

This has to be the worst post office in Maine, oh and by the way your phone mail box is full, you might want to deliver an answer to at least someone !

1 star is generous. Routinely have lost or mis-delivered our packages. When I went to retrieve a mis-delivery today @ 2pm the entrance to the location was open, but the counter shields drawn down, and no employees in sight. Then an employee briefly appeared before going behind the drawn shutters, never to return.Meanwhile I saw two very elderly people — for whom it was clearly a hardship to walk — have to leave the location without being able to mail the package they had traveled send out. Abysmal.

They were very helpful and kind when I needed help figuring out what box I needed for shipping an item. A small, quaint location with plenty of shipping options.

Waiting on a package that was supposed to be delivered on January 13th and it is now the 19th. Very unsatisfied, ive never had an issue before. Apparently they need to verify my address even tho I get my mail everyday
