The restaurant tolerated our kids. The kids loved the pool. Were found a place to plug our car into. We even got to see the northern lights while here.

It has been over two weeks and I have still not received the rate I booked “Marriott Exclusive Bonus Point Offer of 2,500 bonus points per stay.” I have called the hotel directly a couple of times and they told me to contact Marriott Bonvoy, which I have more than once. I have a printed out confirmation of booking and photos of the bonus point offer. Dissatisfied with the customer service and this issue has still not been resolved.
Hotel lobby is nice. Dust on tables in hotel room and the beds are double sized and not the standard queen sized beds that I am used to. They offer no free shuttle to downtown Portland, which was a huge disappointment. I would not stay here again.
The Courtyard Portland Airport hotel is newer, offers a free complimentary shuttle to downtown Portland and the customer service is an A+ and I received my bonus points with no issue.

This was a very nice hotel and convenient to the downtown Portland area – a smooth 10–15-minute drive. Not much dining within walking distance, but lots of places a short drive away. Room was clean and well decorated as were the open spaces. The bar/restaurant must be very popular – it was crowded every time we went by.
Food and drinks: The bar/restaurant must be very popular – it was crowded every time we went by.

The room was nice and everything was clean. They didn’t have the coffee/creamer filled or maintained in the morning and front desk staff was not friendly or helpful.
*The cleaning staff were good and helpful!

Overall decent hotel. Two major issues i encountered with my stay here.
1. They put me in a handicap accessible room which isn’t the type of room i booked. They were able to switch me without much of an issue but why was this even allowed to happen? Is the property just randomly assigning rooms?
2. After i checked into my new room, i noticed the tv wasn’t working. I let the front desk clerk know but it was late and she said the engineers could work on it in the morning which was understandable. Before leaving the hotel in the morning, i spoke to a different clerk at the front desk and he said he saw the note about the tv and someone would work on it during the day. I returned to the hotel around 9pm that night and lo and behold the tv still doesn’t work. While leaving to grab some dinner, i stopped by the front desk again and mentioned the tv not working and was told there was no note left to have someone fix the tv. They said they would send someone to fix it immediately. I returned to the hotel around 1am just to find all the wires to the tv unplugged.
After all this, not a single offer was made to rectify the situation. Is this how large corporations treat their customers now? If i was a status member of Marriott would i have been treated differently?

Very nice hotel with a great location at sable oaks. The employees were wonderful and accommodating. Our room was very clean and modern. The hotel had beautiful decor and a great restaurant/bar with a good menu and fair prices. We are frequent visitors of Portland and would definitely stay here again.Rooms: Our room was modern and clean, with every amenity you would need for a short stay.Nearby activities: Located at sable oaks right across from the Maine Mall. You won't have trouble finding things to do in this area.Food & drinks: The hotel had a nice restaurant with a great menu and good prices.

Front desk staff not friendly or helpful. What we were told would be available as amenities actually were not. While the room was nice and clean.. given the front desk staffing.. I would stay somewhere else next time. For the amount of money for a room… the amenities that we were told would be available should actually be available.

The lady at the restaurant was very rude and was unwilling to answer our questions. Ended up ordering Doordash instead because of that. Definitely would not recommend ordering from their restaurant.

Too many issues that detract from a pleasant stay, the biggest being the absurdly loud heating/AC unit. We had to turn it off so that it stopped shocking us awake when trying to end the night. Had a separate issue with the bathroom though maintenance quickly addressed and were very friendly. Unfortunately the rest of the staff seemed worn out, which I think says more about the place than the people considering how everyone had the same energy.Other parts of the room and amenities were ok but nothing that we could recommend. Lastly, it's extremely annoying to see Fox News plastered over half the TVs. Leave the political propaganda elsewhere, I don't need to see that vitriol each time I'm in the lobby.

Convenient near Portland location, this former Marriott building serves its current flag well. Good business hotel, with typical bar, dining, and breakfast
