First things first my hairstylist is just absolutely amazing no matter where she goes and does. She always goes above and beyond for her clients. & I am so happy for her happiness now, since she has joined your team.
Secondly I am so glad I followed her over when she moved to your salon. This salon is so much better than what I was used to all the way around. The environment and atmosphere is just so much more relaxed and peaceful. I feel welcomed and like I belong every time I go in there. Great job and thank you for what you do.
lastly, I just wanted to say that they are very workable and make it very easy to make appointments weather that's online or via phone call. As of what I know from experience they are very prompt if you have a scheduled appointment.
I would definitely recommend this salon.

I made an appointment for my mother and mind you we live far out of town like 53 mins away that’s far from Portland and South Portland I went to the mall and stopped by JCPenney salon to book an appointment and I throughly explained what my mother wanted and booked the appointment. The day of the appointment we go in and the front desk lady with kinda short light hair told us that she can only do the color and cut and the third service that was requested cannot be done because the other hairstylist did not know that her previous client before my mom had lot of hair I went on to explain it’s not our fault she tried to justify it and tell me it’s not their fault either how is it not your fault you guys should know what your working with and book appointments according so we just left wasted time and gas very disappointing and customer service sucked I wouldn’t even rate this one star I highly do not recommend this hair salon at all.

Was leaving because it was closing at the mall and all the doors seemed to be locked I asked my friend where should we go because they all seemed locked to leave , and the employee rudely answered . "It's the first door "we didn't know if it was the first door on the right or left she didn't specify it and then she repeated herself and said it again but with such a nasty tone this time and rolled her eyes . I did not misinterpret her tone I could tell she was saying it in a absurd way towards me and I was not happy with it . I wanted to go back in there and say maybe you should talk to people nicer especially customers ! Where is the general respect nowadays . This generation is falling apart and as someone who is in this generation as well I'm seeing this from a different prospective I'm saying people around my age should learn manners .

I hadn't been to JCPenney in a few years, and it has changed, and not for the better. Finding a dressing room was a real challenge. The one near where I picked out some outfits had a 'closed' sign. I wandered around the store and voila! there was a dressing room, or so the sign said. I opened the door and there was a storage closet! With no mirrors or anything, just a bunch of junk in there, like shelves, tools, etc. Again I had to wander around the store again and finally found a dressing room - about halfway across the store from where the outfits I had found are. There are no brand names here - it's like Target where they have their own brands and I found NOTHING in the entire store that I liked. It seemed all of the clothes were very matronly. The layout of the store is very counterintuitive and easy to get lost in. I think there was only one cashier in the entire store. There were areas of the store that looked like it was under construction with big sheets of tarp around it. The whole atmosphere was dreary and I have a feeling its days are numbered like Sears. There was hardly anyone in the store and it was 6 PM. I won't be returning there. The best thing in the store is a nice roomy clean restroom near the entrance.

Made an appointment for a haircut and when I arrived I was told they were running late the person who was going to cut my daughters hair wasn't there yet. So i waited fifteen minutes while the girls behind the counter checked the gram and tiktok and asked again. "He isn't here yet." I let them know, I dont need a specific person but I do have somewhere to be in an hour so I was looking for an update. "He's probably dead on the side of the road the the snow is terrible" was the reply. In my head i thought it snowed last night, and since I just drove an hour and a half to get here on my way to visit family I'm pretty sure hes just hungover. Anyways. waited another 20 minutes and told the ladies again sorry I dont have time you can cancel the appointment and they said "Thats on you not us if you want to leave" Ok honey, full on Karen mode. Asked to speak to someone with a brain and a lively young manager came over and I said I'm sorry Sean's dead on the side of the road, and if you love to pay people to watch their phone you've employed the two most qualified candidates in the state. So If you want to hear the best gossip from south portland just sit in the penney salon for an hour and you will get it free of charge. And I'm still looking for hairstylist seans obituary so I can send flowers but so far I'm batting zero.

I went to this salon for a hair color, highlight, hair cut, and eyebrow wax. When I arrived, my stylist explained she was overbooked. She stated that my appointment should of been a three hour block of time. But the manager only allowed two hours and that she could only do a few highlights. Then she stated she did not have time for the eyebrow wax and I would need to come back another day. Excuse me, I am 45 minutes away. I ended up going to another salon immediately after to get my eyebrows waxed. Then my stylist never cut my bangs. I could feel her pain, because she was rushing.I know this stylist is very talented, because I followed her from another salon to JCP and never been unsatisfied. But in this case, I think the salon and management is very unprofessional. I will not be going back to this place.

Charged me and extra $45 to style my hair when Robin didn’t even style my hair! I questioned it and explained that my hair hadn’t been styled ( no product put in it, didn’t curl it, etc.) and they said it’s because it was blow dryed. (The receptionist was very curt and acted like she could care less if I returned.)I got a partial highlight and blowing drying my hair is part of the process. I was a loyal customer who had been going there for years and never got charged and extra $45 because they blow dryed my hair after a highlight. If they are going to start charging extra it would have been nice for them to have told me ahead of time. Since then I’ve found another hair stylist that doesn’t over charge and does a great job. She will even actually style my hair after a highlight and not charge me extra. My suggestion would be to take your money to a salon that will charge you for what they do to your hair. Not just claim what they have done to your hair.

Wanted to try a new place out and I work at the mall. I figured it would be convenient. I asked for a barber that could do a skin fade and a little bit to play with on top. The ladies working insisted I would be fine even though after she said "this isn't a barbershop." The experience was strange. There was a lack of tools and I was passed from person to person. The lady who cut my hair had an injured thumb and I quote "shouldn't be cutting hair." Her words not mine. I told them 1.5 for the length on the sides and they didn't have it. They thought I didn't know what I wanted and tried to get me to agree to a different cut. The conversation was uncomfortable. Apparently there were employees on heroine and employees that steal. At least that's what I over heard them saying RIGHT NEXT TO ME. I simply said I didn't like the cut and she added insult to injury. Told me "that's what you asked for" which is not true. I say the same thing everytime and no other shops have had an issue. She told me it was a nice cut as if my opinion didn't matter. She then proceeded to tell me how to properly ask for a haircut and kept making excuses. I wasn't even complaining or trying to get a free cut. I was simply stating my opinion. She was very rude. Bad customer service. At least she gave me a free cut.
