This is the WORST collision shop EVER. They gave me an estimate of 3 weeks and proceeded to have my car for 3 months. The communication was aweful and Nick is very rude.

I took my car here to have a quarter panel and door replaced. I was told on arrival that the job would be finished in two weeks. After 1 day shy of 5 business weeks my car was finally finished. Bernadette and Nick only took $200 off my quoted estimated price of $5,800 for being 3 weeks late on there estimated time. Save yourselves the trouble and get your auto repairs elsewhere.

The ACME team is amazing! They were kind, efficient, dealt with insurance and walked me through the process, and got my car in as quickly as possible despite their schedule being so full. They were so communicative and the work is stellar, looks good as new! Highly recommend

When someone crashed into my car and it needed body work, I asked people who the best shop was, and overwhelmingly people referred me to Acme Body Shop. Now I want to pass along the recommendation. From the get go, they were honest, communicative, and flexible with me -- and they did a gorgeous job repairing my car. They also worked seamlessly with the insurance company, which made a huge difference on the bureaucracy side of things. Highly recommend!

TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE!!! As a young woman, I've struggled finding an honest and reliable shop. This is by far the best car service I've ever received. I got side swiped and had never delt with the hassle of making arrangements with someone else's insurance. I drove here for a damage appraisal without calling first and Dave not only looked at my car, promptly emailing me a detailed estimate, but also helped me understand the steps I needed to take in contacting insurance. They eventually fixed my car up great. I can't say enough positive feedback about the service I received!!! Such helpful and genuine workers.

I had an oopsie with our 2016 Honda Fit as you can see from the picture below it's not an easy color to match!! This was my 2nd time at ACME (See review below) they did another outstanding job. It's why I went back. I went in on Friday, Sept 8 they were able to work on my car from Weds through Friday (13th to the 15th). The estimate was very accurate (I was paying cash, not my insurance). I just picked it up and am very pleased. HIGHLY recommend.

Unprofessional, liars, incompetent. Do not go here! (It used to be excellent. Read below.)In February, I took my car to this body shop. WHAT A MISTAKE! They told me they were backed up and I would not have my car until May. They said they would try to squeeze it in sooner. I was okay with that. At the end of May, I called to see if my car was ready (as promised), and they said it would be a couple more weeks. Two weeks later, in the middle of June, I called and left a message, and no one called me back. I started calling continuously, and finally, the receptionist said, "Well, we said July or August." I said, "No, no, that's not true. You said May!" I told her that I needed someone to call me. She told me to send an email. She said the manager likes to deal with things by email. So, I sent a pleading, begging someone to contact me. That's when I got an email that said, "They didn't make big jobs like mine a priority, and they didn't know when they would get to it." I was shocked, and I replied in a return email, "You promised me it would be done a month ago! Why didn't you tell me this in February?" I heard nothing back. On June 28th, I stopped in.The manager (I guess?) came out, and I asked him, "Have you ordered the parts yet?" ( I had a frustrated tone.) He said, "Yes." I said, "Really?" He said, "Do not talk to me like that!" I said, "Like what?" (I was getting upset because I was confused.) I said, "What do you mean?" He said, " You will have to leave if you're going to talk to me like that!" He was furious and aggressive, and he said, "If you are going to talk to me in that tone, you can leave!" NOW I was agitated, and I said, "What are you talking about!" Then he said, "You can leave and take your car somewhere else!" I said, "You are a liar"! He's a tall big man, and he walked right over to me, inches from my face, looking down at me, very threatening, and said, " GET OUT OF MY SHOP!" I said, "Give me the keys to my car!" Then I said to him, "What do you want to do, punch me?" Because at that moment, he was so angry at me; he looked like he wanted to hurt me. I said I wanted my keys; he said, "Get out!" I said, "I want my keys." He made me leave the building, and then about five or ten minutes later, he angrily gave me my keys. I decided I was not going until my car was off his lot. I called AAA. While I waited, he threatened to kick me off a lot more than once, and to be fair; I did call him an asshole more than once. I also said to him, " You owe me an apology. I have every right to be angry. You lied to me." All he did was look at me and tell me he would kick me off his lot if I went near my car.Later that day, I got a call from the body shop that I brought my car to. I'm not going to mention that shop's name, but oh my god, what a difference it was also the body shop that works with my insurance company. They said that when they put my car up on a lift, it was completely totaled. The owner of this company submitted the paperwork to my insurance company, telling them that the vehicle was totaled and couldn't be fixed. That is a relief because I would have the car fixed and sell it anyway. The body shop owner also said he'd fixed at least five vehicles from Acme Body Shop. I also want to mention that I took cars to Acme for years. A guy named Jim managed the place. A few years back, Jim left, and when Jim left, the place went downhill, so I'm sure they have a lot of really great reviews for this body shop online because it used to be excellent and reputable and exceptional when Jim was there but not anymore, so be afraid.

We have used Acme more often than our insurance carrier would have liked but they never got into a disn an estimate. We’ve had scrapes, fender benders and a real wrecks and acme has given us back a vehicle in perfect shape. Always on time and never any hidden costs. I have recommended Acme to friends and family, knowing that they will be treated right and come away satisfied. They earn a five star rating!Services: Painting

I had a perfect experience with ACME Body Shop especially during a stressful situation. I unfortunately had a collision with an animal on the interstate. I had never had to deal with this type of situation and they couldn’t have made it more easier for me. I am super grateful for the quick estimates, the amount of time they got me in (other garages told me I couldn’t get in for months) and the quick turn around for the work to be completed (two days!!!!!). My car looks better than it looked before the accident. We had lots of communication leading up, during and after my car was repaired which eased my mind. What a fantastic body shop. They were prompt, reasonable, professional and not out for an insurance payday. Worth the trip from Lewiston/Auburn for sure. The three other places I visited don't hold a candle to Acme. I wouldn't go anywhere else!Service: Body & Trim
