119 Caterpillar Hill Rd, Sargentville“We had a delicious meal. In an area full of mediocre restaurants it was a joy to find Bucks. Everything was made and presented with care. The raw oysters and lamb breast were wonderful. We loved the duo of creme brûlée. The wait staff seems happy. You can spend the same amount of money at a mediocre restaurant as you spend at Bucks. In the first you'll get something to eat and you won't be hungry and you'll get fries but at Bucks you'll get a delicious meal, beautifully presented and served by people proud of what they are serving.”

70 South St, Blue Hill“This is one of my absolute favorite places to shop or grab a bite to eat! If I pay for my groceries with EBT, I’m able to get half off my produce! Such an amazing program that allows me to provide healthy, organic food for my children. On top of that, the smoothies from the cafe are delicious! Great to sip on when you’re cruising through the store ?”
“The hot food bar is always worth a gander. It's simple fare, but every once in a while there will be a real knock-out dish on offer. As a grocery store, it does the job; if you can't find what you're looking for, you probably didn't actually NEED it. It's Locally run and Employee owned, so your money goes into pockets of people in the Island. Good booze selection, nice smattering of local products such as 44 North Coffee, Cold Water Seafood smoked mussels, though I miss being able to pick up Tinder Hearth bread at Burnt Cove. And while I'm chasing the vapors of nostalgia, I also miss the DVD rental at the deli counter; it's a small tragedy to see it gone. I'm partial to Burnt Cove over the Galley (no offense to the fine folks there) and it sure beats driving to Blue Hill.”

4 Reach Rd, Brooklin“A small wholesome store. They did not have the sugary unhealthy, mass produced cereal I wanted, but that does not earn them any less of a rating, because what they do have is what the area seems to thrive on.”
“Going out of business after a ton of years. Good cheap wine on sale if you're into that. Nice owner him and his wife have had it with the retail sector. Check it out if your driving thru bluehill, ME”
“This grocery store/gas station dabbles in a little bit of everything. Fresh made pizzas, to ready-made lobster rolls, to fresh bakery items, to lottery tickets and liquor! We found ourselves here a few times for blueberries, maple syrup, and we wanted to try Moxie and this was the only place we could find it in individual bottles. I imagine this little store can be a lifesaver to those who live in the area and us travelers who were somewhat unprepared.”
