“Cute little shop with a ton of items! We got a bottle of local chunk honey (a piece of honeycomb in a jar of liquid honey), a bottle of regular local honey, a 4" square of local honeycomb, and a small piece of chocolate covered honeycomb (not local). The only thing we won't get again is the chocolate covered honeycomb as it just wasn't as good as the other items. Can't wait to try some more items once these are gone!”
“A friend of mine sent me the body lotion. I received it today.
I have shingles.
My body has been on fire and had random needle and knife like stabbing pains for over a week. 3% Lidocaine would only work for a minute. The thing was, I had steady fire under my arm, but no sign of shingles. I put the Lidocaine on there too it would not work.
Shingles gets worse at night and I was struggling. Anything touching my skin made me want to scream. Sleeping was next to impossible and only occurred after I was completely exhausted from the pain. I was given pain pills they make me in pain groggy.
As I said, I received the Marin today I washed off any remaining Lidocaine and applied the Marin. I instantly feel the soothing relief of it. Once I finished applying it to the affected areas I began applying it to my armpit. It took a few minutes for it to put out the fire, but it is gone!!! I feel soooo loved right now! Loved by my wonderful friend Pam and by the creators of this excellent lotion. Thank you for what you do.”

“This charming and tastefully appointed seaweed shop, located in a beautiful historical building, is filled with quirky interesting books, as well as seaweed/coastal-themed accoutrements. The lovely bonhomous manager helped us pick out some unique seaweed tea, which I’m excited to try. Of course, we also purchased some of the Wild Atlantic Dulse. Can’t wait to begin our virtuous seaweed journey, and I hope to return soon.”

“We've been to their Quechee flagship store and glassblowing studio, where the Simon Pearce artisans create beautiful works of art, so being able to visit their Portland retail store is great. They have gorgeous handblown glass drinkware, serveware, lighting, candle holders, pumpkins, animals, and other items. We especially love the evergreen trees. They also have hardwood bowls, trays, cutting boards, etc. and pottery. ”

“I have quite a few favorite pieces from Lulu Ceramics going back many years. Hand made ceramics contribute more to a meal or morning coffee ritual. You will develop a special preference towards using each piece.
Whether it is a glaze or pattern, stamping or form, each unique piece is made with elements that keep me reaching for them over and over. My Coffee only tastes right from “my” mug, same with holding a tumbler for my tea. Yes, there is a breakfast plate for me, and a pasta bowl.. Her large platters and bowls can be custom stamped to mark a special event or wedding, and they add to all of your holiday tables with functionality and style.

“Down East Marketplace at Portland International Jetport is a great place to get a gift or find a tasty snack. This place seems to have it all gift wise and I was able to check off a lot of people on my list all in one stop. They have some cool and creative gifts that I did not see anywhere else and the prices were a good value accounting for where it was at. This is a good place to go while you are waiting for your flight as you will find that special item and have a little bit of fun and be entertained. The staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable and keeps the line moving when you are ready to purchase your items and be on your way to your plane. “I love this store and have visited many times over the years! This year however, I walk with a walker and it is wide as I am. I found it very difficult maneuvering down the aisles. Each one narrowed at one end. My walker would get wedged on displays and I finally had to give up, get help from another customer to unwedge the walker so I could just leave the building. So sad because I love going through this store and seeing all their merchandise! I did end up sending my friend in to pick up what I wanted to buy, so I still shopped, but it would have been nice to be able to do it myself.”
