I went to Bangor Savings for the first time ever. I was trying to deposit a check in an account holders name. I would think this would be incredibly easy but it was anything but. If you have a stupid bank rule, don't make it worse by being rude to the customer. I have thought about getting an account here, but after that experience, it is a hard no.

Absolutely the best bank EVER. The staff is amazingly friendly, courteous and professional. Foley's Fitness Center and I, personally, appreciates our business partner, Bangor Savings Bank.

I just spoke to a Vice President of the bank. The guy doesn’t even have an MBA and the education he does have is online from Phoenix.This leads me to believe the intellectual capacity and decision making of the lead ship of this bank leaves a lot to be desired.Really sad. Have been doing business with these people for a long time but my recent interaction leaves me feeling very let down by the quality of this institution and the standards they hold themselves to.Very poor.

I’ve been a Bangor Savings customer for nearly 10 years. I like this bank so much that I decided to continue banking with them through several cross-country moves. This poor review is for this particular branch and specifically for my negative experience with a loan officer there. My partner and I just closed on a lovely house — our first — and had a very positive experience with our agent, with the sellers, with the selling agent, with pretty much everyone throughout the process with the exception of our loan officer. She had very little patience with us. On at least five occasions she did not do what she said she would, whether that was call us on this day or let us know about this or get back to us on that. Her communication was unprofessional and her tone patronizing. I’m not sure what the lending equivalent to “bedside manner” is but she is lacking it. We got so frustrated about halfway through the process that we asked to speak with her superior. That request was ignored until the night before our closing, when we finally received a phone call from someone who was willing to talk us through a few of the confusing intricacies. I’ll continue to use Bangor Savings as my bank, but I won’t be frequenting this branch and I’ll shop around before going through the lending process with them again.

When it comes to customer service and communication for the simplest of personal banking products, Bangor Savings seems to be operating in some sort of parallel universe. Not for us. We moved our account elsewhere.

I love Bangor Savings. However this branch is definitely a very weak link in their structure. Mary Lee is argumentative and a bit rude. The teller is running around trying to get everything done and clearly stressed from being woefully understaffed. Not her fault. I'll be going out of my way to get back to the Old Port branches in the future.

My wife and I have been doing our personal banking at Bangor savings bank for the last 8 years and we absolutely love it and love everything about it from each branch the staff how friendly they are how they're always looking out for you as a matter fact on multiple occasions I've gotten phone calls from Bangor Savings Bank fraudulent protection department inquiring if I used my card in certain areas and wanting to know if I spent money at certain places this alone is absolutely amazing in my opinion for customer service as they put a quick stop to what could've been a huge amount of money lost but instead they save me the aggravation and them too I cannot stay enough about the staff at all the locations they're friendly helpful and knowledgeable it is truly a pleasure doing business at Bangor savings bank and if I was to list every single person they're probably wouldn't be enough room on this particular testimonial but I will say this from every tell her to manager to branch manager and up-and-down Bangor savings bank they are hands-down number one.
