Sanford Sewing is THE place to buy your machine! Whether you are an expert sewer, as I am, or a novice at quilting and embroidery, as I am, you are in the right place. The knowledge of the staff is incredible. They really know their stuff. If you have a fabric or notions questions, they have the answers. If you want to buy a machine, this staff knows each and every machine. They give classes, they guide your choices, and they do it all with personality plus. We drive up from Massachusetts because Sanford Sewing is really that good.As if these reasons were not enough to earn a 5-Star rating, the department that fixes your machine, is just as incredible. Reasonable and reliable. Once you visit, you will know why we make the 90 minute ride. At Sanford Sewing you are treated with repect and honesty. You won't be disappointed, you'll be amazed. They have projects that will leave you in awe and will inspire you to go home and create art from fabric.

Wonderful people, troubleshot my machine that I didn't even buy there, fixed a problem with a part and gave me instruction without charge. Also found they offer lessons and will teach you to use any machine you buy from them. If my daughter enjoys sewing on the cheap machine i got elsewhere they will be my one and only go to for advancing!

When the best of the best is all that will do...head straight over to Sanford Sewing. You can find fabulous, well made fabrics that you just won't find in a department store. Designer fabrics that are top notch. These fabrics are incredibly beautiful! The choice of machines are also top quality. I have a Destiny 2 and absolutely would not part with it! I purchased it from Sanford Sewing, was taught how to use it (a joy since I am long term sewer but new to quilting!) My machine goes back for a "visit" when it needs a tune up or a thorough cleaning. The machinists are top at their craft. They not only maintain my Destiny 2 but have worked on my serger and my other sewing machine brands as well! When you need a new sewing foot, a variety of needle sizes, machine parts. quilting patterns, fat quarters, themed or holiday fabric designs, quilting rulers, battings, and thread, thread, thread, it is all in one place, Sanford Sewing! Last, but by no means least, is the group of employees who truly know everything about fabrics, sewing, quilting, coordinating colors, and long arm sewing! They know their business when it comes to sewing, quilting, or guidance! And they do it all with a genuine kindness and passion that makes each patron feels special and appreciated. If you are looking for the best of its kind, let me say once again...Sanford Sewing is THE place to go. I know, because I drive 90 miles up from the Boston area frequently to go a place where all my questions are answered, where I can take a class, buy outstanding fabrics, and learn new knowledge..... all with honesty and enthusiasm!

Absolutely lovely place, cannot recommend highly enough. Their prices are much more reasonable than what I researched online.AND, I came in very close to their closing time, expecting to quickly buy and go, but they took their time and seriously went into detail about every machine they had, pros and cons, expectations, etc. Answered all my questions. Not for one second did they make me feel rushed. They dug out extra feet so I could try different functions. They put out multiple machines so I could do side-by-side testing out. Plus all of their sewing machines come with free classes and you can call them anytime or bring your machine in if you're having a problem.I can't speak to the fabrics or accessories but they looked like they had a good selection.

Just bad customer service. Part of the machine was broken and they didn’t notice it. I spend $200.00 and they won’t replace part. They say the the thread spool holder were broken when I came in. If they had tested my my machine I would have paid they to replace it , but apparently they put a part on but don’t actually make sure is sews.....bad service never going back. Expensive and bad service.

Amazing. The ladies there are so helpful and patient. I'm new to sewing and they all got involved trying to help. Purchased my 1st sewing machine there a few months back and now starting to venture to do cute projects. Very well stocked store with pleasant helpful employees.

My friend & I visited this shop yesterday for the first time. It won’t be the last. We were greeted immediately as if we were friends and not customers. We had questions, they had great answers. We learned a lot about long-arm sewing machines & good companies. Fabric was lush, soft and creatively displayed. We actually sat down and chatted. My friend bought some fabric and I came away with some wonderful ideas and a long wish list.We will certainly go back for more fabric, more quilting tips and, most of all, for the homey feeling of this fine quilt shop. Thank you ladies!
