I love to read so i love this place!! Very friendly volunteers. Books are cheap and there is a good variety. Best of all the profits go to the women's shelter! I always redonate the books after i read them because of this.

Visiting Sanford for several days, I discovered Books Revisited while en route to the Midtown Mall. It’s in the adjacent building block. The storefront wasn’t very wide, but the inside went way back with rows and rows of shelving loaded with books. There was a Clearance Sale table up front with new books that were only 50 cents each. The featured author was W.E.B. Griffin, a writer of military and detective fiction. About 18 different titles of his 38 novels were included in the sale. The store had large fiction and non-fiction sections. There were good-sized sections for romance novels as well as history books. The sizable children’s area had a child-sized table and chairs. There was a whimsical book-reading green dinosaur painted on the wall above the nearby bookshelves. A rocking chair held two stuffed animals; one was Big Bird from Sesame Street. There was a substantial section of books for young adults. There was also a section for local authors. Although limited, there was an area that had some games and puzzles. There was a small box of free books. Most hardcover books were $1.00. All the used books I browsed were in excellent condition. Most of my interest was in the travel section. I came up with a lovely coffee table book on Ipswich, Massachusetts. It had a lot of photographs and was printed on high-quality glossy paper. The best buy was a new softcover Fodor’s “Exploring Japan.” The book had never been opened. The original price printed on the back cover was $22.00. My price was $1.00. The bookstore recently participated in the Shaker Hill Apple Festival with a booth near the Alfred Shaker Museum. For the number of books, the condition of them, and the prices, I rate Books Revisited at 4.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.
