It's one branch of a large hospital system which I find convenient since all my doctors have all my records. Having multiple doctors on site means you can get an appointment sooner with another provider if your PCP isn't available. And all of the doctors, nurses, techs and office staff are incredibly compassionate, friendly and helpful.

While the wait is long, its a emergency room and the amount of people that are out back, and people in the waiting room is a lot. They care for you no matter how stressed they are. Being a first responder is hard so give them a break. I have seen many things in my 5 visits with injuries/illness. I have seen people attack workers, i have seen people yell out for help. Its stressful. And no matter what they are there for you.

Was scheduled for labs at 9:30 at Saco Maine Health on industrial ave . Never got called for over 30 mins till I went back to front desk. The woman at the desk asked me who had submitted the lab request and I told her, only to find when I got home they did the wrong test, they did a couple not due for days that was scheduled at a different location. The Nordx lady that pulled the blood was hardly friendly. I called the family practice number by mistake which is in the same building side by side but she said I had called wrong number but did follow up with my PCP instead of the urology person I gave them. Fortunately there was enough blood taken to run correct test. Very confusing and unprofessional staff. Worst experience I have had after going through cancer surgery and tons of labs.

Receptionist at check in elderly woman needs to be removed from her position if she can not be more pleasant to patients. Receptionist was extremely rude if she doesn’t like her job maybe it’s time to retire.

Yeah. Don’t come here. I needed important medication (that my life depended on) that I had to jump through hoops to get (even though it was prescribed to me by the doctors in emergency care). This place said “sorry, nothing we can do.” ??? They later realized their mistake and gave me my medication. Ha. How could you make a mistake like that for someone who needs a life saving medication? This is my primary care provider and I can’t even get a referral or an appointment. I plan on dropping this place ASAP.

I like this office. My Doctor is very knowledgeable and thorough, she also works with a lot of students.

If I could leave negative reviews I would. Worst service/care. Do not go here. They are rude and they can’t fit you in for appointments.

If I could give this place zero stars I would even better I would give it negative stars. Google didn’t like my original review so I am going to try this again but make it very short and sweet. Paula Wilcox who is Pam Travis‘s medical assistant is the nastiest human being I have ever come across and would never wish anyone to have to deal with her. Thankfully we have a no contact Agreement now but that is minuscule punishment to how she’s treated me all these years. My full review is on yelp if you would like to know the actual truth. Disgusting.Side note- I absolutely love Pam Travis. she has never been the problem, EVER.

I just want to commend SMHC I moved to Saco 7 years ago and had a really good Doctor at Mercy in Gorham but he got tired as a doctor and retired it's a tough business now days! Then I came to SMHC and found DR Alan Potyk ,From day one he showed interest and caring in my health and even my skeptical wife "worried" about me sees his compassion... he and I have a great relationship in today's world that's so hard to find I called today and spoke to Donna that I needed to cancel my appointment .....Do you know she followed up !Dr Potyk called me at 7:30 pm still taking care of others....I can't speak for others but my wife and I have experienced much in health care ....I Hope Dr Potyk keeps working because he's helping me to keep going! Where else today do you find that personal care! Thank you folks for being kind and treating me so well.

Can’t speak for the actual service because I didn’t actually end up going, but scheduling an appointment for a covid test over the phone was the most complicated experience with the rudest most condescending person I’ve ever had to deal with in a medical setting, and I grew up in the NYC metropolitan area so I KNOW rude. I was told that my insurance wasn’t valid and was talked down to until I caved and agreed to pay out of pocket for the appointment. After that I found another place that got me in and got the test done in less time than just the phone call to make an appointment here took, with no issue regarding my insurance. If you need a covid test just go to the urgent care across the street, they’ll get you right in.

In 10 years at SMHC Ive been assigned to 4 different doctors. All were intelligent and good diagnosticians who asked questions and listened to my answers. My blood pressure is managed and day to day problems addressed. Very satisfied so far. If I were not, Id go elsewhere. The walk-in clinic on Rte 1 is also very handy and adequate for quick care treatment.

Brought my son for his scheduled 4 month check-up. He has diarrhea and congestion. They refused to see him and said he was not allowed back until he had a COVID-19 test done and negative results. No one in our household has been exposed to COVID. He has a cold, you know, like children get.He is a sick 4 month old baby and his doctor wouldn't even check him out to make sure he was ok.If you value the health and welfare of your children DO NOT bring them to these people, they don't care.

I have been a patient here for six years. While this office started out great initially, it has really gone downhill. In the six years I've been a patient here I have had several different PCPs. They all just keep leaving. That to me is a red flag. My current PCP will be leaving at the end of this month as well. I have been trying to get in to see my PCP for an annual exam since last July, so almost a year ago, and this office has last minute canceled on me with less than 24 hours notice no less than five times since last July. My job makes it very difficult to schedule appointments, so getting last minute cancelled on 5 or more times really rubs me the wrong way. I also was in need of an ER follow up visit last year and they were unable to get me in at all with any provider until like 3 weeks later. Again, that to me is a red flag. ER follow ups are supposed to happen with the same week, and I would think my PCP would want to see me sooner rather than later given that the reason I went to the ER was pretty serious. But nope, 3 weeks later. I am done trying to make this relationship work. It's clearly over. SMHC, we're breaking up. It's not me, it's you. Goodbye!
