“Not a great experience here. We paid our money for the car wash, drove in, door closed and the car wash didn't start. We were trapped. Called the adjacent gas station who then phoned the owner of the car wash and we had to wait for him to come in through the side door and fix everything. Normally I would rate 1 star for an experience like this but the owner was very nice and upgraded our wash, too bad it was a rental!!”

“I think I found my new carwash. The wash is attended by a couple of men, and they guide and prewash your car. For a machine, it does a decent job on the wheels. I have a pickup truck, so rear windows and tailgates need touch-ups from water spots, and the gate doesn't really get cleaned well. Other than that, there are a variety of services. I bought a mid level for $17 a month, and that's pretty economical.”

“Truly, this place is amazing! I called two other places first and never got a response and I wish I'd just called Maine Recon first. I was scheduled in quickly to get a bunch of tree sap removed and the results surpassed my expectation. It's clear that for Josh and his team, detailing is not just a job but a CRAFT. They treated my Hyundai with the same care they would give a fancy car and the results were amazing. I don't think my car looked this pristine when it came off the manufacturing assembly line! Josh was fantastic at explaining every step of the process in plain language and making sure the job was done quickly, efficiently, and up to his impeccable standards. Their waiting area was also super cozy with a sofa, mini fireplace, wifi, and stocked fridge. Can't say enough great things about Maine Recon! (photo below shows the halfway progress and you can see the amazing difference)”

“Garrett did an amazing job. Attention to detail and communication was amazing throughout the process. Our 2015 Landrover LR4 had extreme water damage from a hole in a sun roof drain. Garrett was able to identify where the leak was coming from, rip out the old carpet and install new carpets throughout the vehicle. When we picked it up, it looked and smelled brand new. He also did a great job working with my insurance company. It's refreshing to work with a small business that takes so much pride in their work. During the entire process I had numerous questions, even though he was busy, he always had time for me. I highly recommend Xtreme Mobile Detailing in OOB. “Best car wash I’ve ever been to. The owner was very attentive, making conversation with his customers, walking around and keeping up with/maintaining his business. He saw me vacuuming my car for over an hour (I love the beach, so it needed to be vacuumed badly due to sand and kids lol) and helped me get my car extra clean once I got to the car wash part. Wonderful, just wonderful. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Also the vacuums work great, overall very impressed and I will be back!”

“Great wash. A little pricey, but does a good job. Can't get in there half the time because the coffee place has the driveway blocked. Got stuck in that mess for 20 minutes last time I was there. Will pre scout in the future.”
“I found this place by mistake and have found myself going once a month because seaguls seem to like my car... I see the same guy Ryan a lot and he's just always super nice, everyone there is always wicked nice.
Having small reoccurring places with decent people just makes life a bit better. The gas station attached is nice and has a dunkin. This place is my go to post gym stop.”

They also offer free vacuuming service but service but I think you have to purchase a car wash in order to receive the vacuum service.”

“I had to ask to get the back of my car sprayed, The guy did a quick spray on one side of the front and that was it. Most car washes I have gone to spray the front back and both sides, Not here. Maybe next time. BTW, I have the ultra plan.”
“I went to wash my truck tonight after work, and I thought it worked great! I got a lot of soap, the wax was really spraying heavy, and I didn't have any problems. This is my first time, but if it's like this every time I go, I'm going to be very happy with Tom Cat car wash. Time will tell, and I'm hopeful it will be great next time.”

“This gas station has the best automatic car wash in the greater Portland area. I used to go to Scrub-a-Dub but my car always had more scratches on it after being washed there. Ever since I started washing it here, there have been no additional scratches on it. It also seems to do a better job than the one at Irving (Cash Corner) or the one on Broadway across from the bowling alley, which is super fancy but always leaves parts of the car dirty and applies way too much wax. The simple, unassuming car wash at Big Apple cleans thoroughly, doesn't scratch, and doesn't over-apply wax. What more could you want?”
