Sample & learn about the wonders of Maple Syrup!We drove to Sabattus to visit the folks at the Maple Rush Sugar House, had a nice time!Maine-ahs know boots are a necessity in March, wear them because it’s MUDDY!We met the owner, Jordan Davis at the helm of his smoking maple cooker! Jordan’s enthusiasm entertained each guest that walked through his sugar shack door! He described the maple syrup process, and answered all questions! ????+Maple Rush opened in 2018+Maple Rush will produce 150 gallons syrup+Offered syrup tasting, fresh popcorn+Maple Rush products for sale (credit cards)+Several artisans selling craftsMaple Syrup Fun Facts ????*3 to 4 week Maple sap/syrup season*Maple tree matures at 40 years, to tap*10 gallons of sap produced by 1 tree /week*Boil maple sap to 219 degrees*Hydrometer 66.9% reading, maple syrup*Need 40 gallons sap, 1 gallon maple syrup*Maple Syrup if pure, lasts 1 year cool place*Store brands not pure, can’t use “Maple”*Canada produces 75% world’s maple syrup*Top 5 Maple producing states . . .1. They were very friendly in cordial towards the guests. Plus, they were giving instructional tours in the Sugar House, how Maple Syrup is made, which followed the CDC Covid-19 guide lines. It was a very family friendly event.

Great family owned farm, owner was welcoming and very knowledgeable, answered all my questions (I was very interested in maple syrup you guys). They have a huge selection of syrup in all kind of beautiful glass jars and prices are reasonable. Didn't try the food truck they had for their event this weekend, we were there early and had just had breakfast, but the menu looked tasty. We will be sure to come to their next event and we love supporting local business, especially family farms!
