We stopped here on our way through Maine to mail my grandson’s birthday present. The clerk was working by herself 9/24 at about 1:15pm EST. Even though she was busy, she went beyond and above to help me mail my package as efficiently at a reasonable cost. Thanks to her, my grandson will get his package on time! Thank you so much!

I've had interactions with four different employees at the Rumford post office, and three out of those four interactions were unpleasant. This office does seem to do a good job of delivering customers' mail in a timely manner, so long as you don't need to utilize USPS's mail forwarding service. I moved from out of state in Q2 2024, and at my previous address you never knew when you were going to get your mail, so that contrast has been refreshing since moving here. However, I have zero confidence in setting up mail forwarding again here after what this office put me through the last time that I did so.

I have been 1 hour on line to find the phone number to the Rumford post office. Still no luck. totally sucks!

Sadly, Jim is a miserable man who lacks customer service and care. Have had more than one interaction with him acting put out by assisting me. Hangs up the phone on customers as well. Kudos on your customer service!!

Walked to the PO to mail a "Thank You" card to someone. Since I just recently moved to the area, I didn't know they closed between 12 pm and 1 pm. Called them THREE times in a row after 1 pm (I wanted to make sure there was enough postage on card) but got disconnected each time. The first time, somebody picked up the phone but then hung up. The next two times the calls rang, got picked up but then switched to a busy signal.Really no help at all.

The phone service stinks. I just want to talk to someone and the automated service never gives you the option to talk to someone.

I looked online for number to this location, says it's open at 8:30am. I went there, sign on the door said opens at 12:00, I had a scheduled pick up for a return at 9:30am. Needed to print return label, just like the rest of businesses in Rumford they open and close when they feel like it ? I didn't want to give 1star

So I went a few days ago to mail my sister her birthday gift I bubble rapped it an put card board an from Rumford to were ever she got it in a thousand prices it said breakable on the bocwhatthe hell

It's been 3 days and we don't have our weekly check. We understand Wednesday was Veterans Day but its Friday and thats the only money we have for food. For the love of God let humans answer the phone so people don't go hungry
