“They don’t have the worlds biggest stock of items, but they do have excellent people that care. My foot is currently crushed and I’m on crutches. Not only did the wonderful person immediately offer to go get what I needed, she loaded it in my truck for me. Not an inconsiderable thing, considering it was a 50lb bag of chick starter and I can’t stand without crutches let alone push a cart. Great people here.”

“Note: The store has recently changed hands (it's not called Puia anymore), and I really hope it stays the same, but my review is based on the past couple of years, not the past couple of months, when I haven't been there very often....Lumber prices comparable to big box stores, extremely helpful and friendly staff. They also have a really wide selection of hardware store items, way, way more than it looks like the store would hold when viewed from outside, everything from electrical and plumbing to dowels and chains. I'm in there every other week or so, and I've never had a bad experience.”
“I had a package that I had to return to Amazon through UPS, and I was told the closest place to get the shipping return label printed was in Portland. I'm in Rumford, and didn't want to have to go all that way. I found out that Towles was a UPS access point, and could print the label out for me. I'm so happy not to have to go to Portland now!”

“I purchased a Dewalt Weed wacker about 2 years ago. I brought it in today because I was having problems with it.
They could not fix it they called and offered me a new one to replace it free of charge.
I try to buy local if I can. This just proves to me to always support our local stores.
